And Horserider--I keep reading on the forums that red/flame dragons and blue/water dragons don't mix (duh!), but you just did a successful breeding! Pretty cool! Gotta give that dragon some kind of a flame vs. water name or whatever!

O.K.--I just figured out something cool. I get so frustrated when I click on abandoned hatchlings, they're taken, then they show up 2 or 3 more times while folks bounce them, and I miss them every time! Well, tonight I just kept refreshing the "abandoned"/it's taken page for 2 minutes like when we do a transfer, and darned if I didn't get two magi hatchlings even though I missed them both the first time!

Nope--no one's going to reabandon those! I think on the abandoned page, people are bouncing hatchlings between scrolls--or they don't realize that you don't add a day per bounce anymore. It used to be folks would bounce a 1 hour egg to move it to 1 day and 1 hour then 2 days and 1 hour to make it safe or something. Now 1 day only gets added once. But folks are still bouncing them for some reason.

Also--things get reabandoned when they are the wrong sex or bred instead of caveborn, etc.--I do that myself, grab then abandon. So now when it's a hatchling, I'm just refreshing for awhile to see if it gets let go again.

Sorry Valleyrider, it won't work there in the cave. No one can abandon an egg they nab in the cave for over 5 hours and it's unlikely that anyone would want to abandon a valentine egg anyways. She's just talking about the look see people who pick up an egg or a dragon and then set it right back down again out in the abandoned page. It is annoying when they pop up 5 times in a row!!! Arrow that's a good idea!! I'm going to try that next time I see once bounce once!

On the first magi, I did it after I saw it a second time, but for the second magi I didn't even wait for that--I just refreshed after I got the taken page once, and wa laa--got the hatchling a minute later.

Slow for me too FPA,, there are sooo many people on there trying to get the v-day eggs it is loading slow.. Did anybody get one?? Last night the drop lasted 5 min. Now it seems to be close to 15min.. Maybe more people will get them and it will be easier for us slow clickers to get one.

It's slow for everyone!! They are dropping Valentines eggs over and over and over this morning and I still can't get one. I think everyone is there!! And at least they are dropping tons at one time, versus yesterday when it was one for ever cave drop!!! Most likely it won't do any good for golds and silvers, etc.--they probably never get re-dropped. But it works great for other eggs, and for hatchlings! Don't know why it took me 3 months to think of it...:D

Great job, Arrepall Lok! Of my 3 cave-born silvers, Grall and her children have laid the most silver eggs. And her mate Reppa Lok had a pretty long list of kiddies before they met--I think Reppa Lok has the longest list of children of all my dragons. That's two for two for that pair, isn't it valleyrider?

Yippee--I'm so happy, I bred a geode! The mom is the second dragon that I ever got way back at the start of October, she's got kind of a male name because I didn't know about waiting for wings back then. The dad is a new egg I got for gold breeding just a week or so ago. They're both wild, cave-born stone dragons, so this is a ground-zero geode, I'm so happy! Daddy has no name, though--gotta fix that.

People are gifting and trading them--I was on the AP for more than hour last night and saw 5 or 6, missed every one!

This is funny: this incubator is exactly one week later after the one in my siggy, I think. The egg at the far left in my siggy is the hatchling at the right of this incubator, and the new egg is the sibling of the hatchling--sibs at either end! Doubt that'll happen very often! Wouldn't have happened in the old days when it was 3.5 + 3.5 days to the minute instead of these random times.

Looks like DCFansite has done another wipe--there are less than 200 scrolls listed. Wait to add your scrolls for at least a day. Last time, I added mine without even realizing that there had been a wipe--I was one of the very first, and my eggs and hatchlings got flooded with views when everyone came to add their scrolls. They got sick in an hour, and I think they would have died if I hadn't just happen to check on them. I fogged them all until I realized what was going on, then realized it was the hatchery. So my advice is, don't add anything over there until tomorrow evening. DailyDragonFix is still fine.

My silver male grew up today. His name is Forsilvro which is similar to the swedish word for silver. A lot of my dragons have swedish word for names or words that are a letter or two away from a swedish word. I'm developing a fascination for the swedish language. :D

Well my dragons must be suffering from Valentines Day cause they are breeding large amounts of eggs at every breeding!!! It's hard to pick what to keep!! I think it's just dumb luck otherwise I wouldn't have it! lol. The ones that produced the biggest amount were both pretty young. (as in matured yesterday and a few weeks ago)

Nope, I was just there. It's been loading slow today, really slow--monster lag seems to be back, at least for awhile.

Horserider--it doesn't really matter, I suppose with pixels, and some folks really don't care--but some folks really dislike inbred dragons. Rather than mating your female to her father, I'd probably try to get an unrelated egg--now if it's a boy or a girl, you have an automatic mate to try with either your boy or your girl. Some people actually kill inbred eggs if they get them--though plenty of folks don't care. Still, I'd probably wait and get a third stone egg.

Well, I always said I wanted no splits, but I grabbed this gendered pair of girls, so I named them Pam and Penny after twins from books I loved as a kid. Now I gotta find a male to name their boyfriends, Jeff and Mike. That's the trouble with keeping one...you think it needs a friend.:) I never really saw the split description, but gotta admit that I'm tickled by the whole "two heads like playing with each other" bit.

I froze the split, by the way, just not crazy about the adults. That's actually one reason I like to have frozen hatchlings--some of the hatchling descriptions are cute--the two heads playing together for the splits, and I love the "piling up pebbles" for the green dragons.

I love my split adult. i really want to freeze a hatchie and maybe get another adult or two. I like to freeze some of the hatchies too. The really pretty ones. I have a frozen winter and I want to get a frozen split, two frozen frills (one ungendered and one gendered) and maybe some others.

Well, my geode hatched. Here's a little naming tip: Crystal Wings was taken (by a winter, of all things!), so I just put two spaces in between instead of one, and got Crystal Wings.:)

Interesting geode news, folks!

Green/earth dragons are laying geodes, too! I guess that since they are "earth" dragons it makes sense! Seems that stonexstone, stonexgreen/earth, and earthxearth are all laying geodes! No word yet if they'll lay geodes with nonstone and nonearth dragons.

Cool, though! Breed away! Let's see who gets the first geode out of a green dragon!

I think it would be fun to get a geode from one stone/stone pair, one earth/stone pair, and one earth/earth pair. That's my new project--and I want to do it with wild eggs just for the heck of it--no lineage. I've got one from a stone/stone pair--so one down and two to go!

Yep, folks freeze hatchlings often just to free up space, I've done it a time or two myself. After freezing, it counts as an adult, and you can wait and name it after if you don't have a name picked out. And Mossalina and one of your stones would be great! Too bad you have to wait, I hate that part of this game!

There's a big mass metallic breed going on--a whole bunch of folks breeding and abandoning every one today, keeping none. I've bred 9 silvers already and got three eggs that I abandoned. I've got one silver pair to go sometime this aft. It's fun--one person who got one got their first silver from me, and another caught one to give to a chemo patient. Cool--so keep watching that abandon page, it's a metallic kind of a day! It'll go past midnight, I think.

You can't unfreeze them. They will get wings and gender, but it might take longer. You can wait to name them until they do. I put my frozen ones on DailyDragonFix so they still get views, and they get wings at the normal rate--if you have a few other eggs and unfrozen hatchlings there, they don't seem to mind that one's frozen. You can't load them at the fansite, of course, because they don't show up as hatchlings.

I've had the most luck with orange/magis and mints with my silver dragons. Also, purples for the boys. I've had silver eggs from guardians and grays, and EW's founding pair is a silver and a pink. But it can happen with most any other kind, of course.:)

But then--I have zillions of oranges--so maybe that's why I have luck with them, my favorite color! It's the luck of the draw, I think.

About 2 minutes ago, a blue dino egg, 3 gold eggs, and a silver egg showed up on the abandoned page all at the same time! I missed them all, of course. But wow, the abandoned page wouldn't load for quite some time after that--hee hee!

valleyrider--it's like I posted over a week ago, you can breed those stones to your earth female Mossalina and get geode eggs, you don't need two stones. Geodes can come from 2 stones, 2 earths, or one earth and one stone.

Warning! DCfansite just a did an egg/hatchling wipe, and there only about 500-600 scrolls. Wait a day to readd your scrolls, or at least until the page tells you that there are more than 2000 scrolls. If you add now, you might get a huge spike in views and dead eggs and hatchlings.

Well, it took my 7 weeks to get my first silver egg from my first silver, so don't despair! For silvers, I like mints, purples, reds, earths, and shields--and the occasional water. Blacks and vines are supposed to be good--but I've had minimal luck with blacks.

And I've had great luck with blacks and pinks, and a bunch of others. If you view my scroll, they are arranged according to breeding pair. . .Male first, then female. . . Easier to keep track of. All my none partnered Dragons are below my frozens. . .

well I just bred my black alt to a black and they refused,, have to wait another week to try again. My black hatchling was a male so I froze him. I have plenty of winters and autums to breed in the spring.. As far as silvers, I have luck with mints, and shields too.

Well, valleyrider--that's 3 in a row from the son of my very own Silver Grall...now the two of hers that I kept haven't given me much of anything at all--one between them in more than a month. Mmmm...did I give away the wrong dragon?:)
