Tack Locker?

So I'm thinking about getting/making a tack locker to put down in the barn's tack room. My collection of stuff is growing and growing and I'm running out of garage space, and trucking it back and forth is getting ridiculous. Plus, with me and my trainer on the search to purchase a horse (which is going well, we've got 8 prospects that I'll post about after we do visits and get pictures), I'm going to end up needing to have a place to keep all my stuff down there.

Does anyone have a tack locker? I'm talking the stand up, refridgerator looking kind, not a tack trunk. If so, where did you get it, or can you give an idea of how you built it if its custom?

Our barn owner's daughter has a huge armoir. It has double doors that open in the front and then there is a lift up top. I will have to find out where she got it.

These are all before we added any hooks. I'm thinking of adding a basket or two for fly spray, shampoo bottles, etc..

I couldn't help you with the actual plans but I could asked my husband if he has anything that he used if you want.

Don't have a tack locker but I use a tack trunk for everything. I've got a bridle bag for all of my headstalls and reins and then my saddle is up on one of the racks in the tack room. It all fits pretty nicely and I've got a lot of stuff in there!! Good luck on finding a good tack locker or making one! :)

My husband built one for a lady last fall that boards up near Monument. Maybe he can help you out and build one for you.

I agree! They're very nice. :) I'm jealous, I wish someone would build me something like that! :doh:
