Awesome trailride today...with pictures!

Just wanted to share what a great ride Amber and I had today. She is so awesome going out alone, leaving her pasture buddies behind is nooo problem for her! We have some of the best rides by ourselves :) Today we rode right across the street from where I board..There is a beautiful pond that we can walk into and she likes to splash around in, and some nice trails.
Now lets see if I can post some pics...

Great pictures! Thanks 4 sharing. Must be that right time. Legend & I had a wonderful "workout" in the ring yesterday! She was a good girl! :) Glad to hear that Amber was good for you!

Neato... can you go swimming in that lake on the horse? Is it safe enough to go all the way into?

When I was growing up, we lived right on a lake and we'd take our horses out into the water and swim! My mustang loved to swim way out and we'd ride out and I'd just grab mane and let him pull me along beside him, and then climb back on bareback when he was headed back in to shallow water. Was so much fun! And you'll never get a horse as clean as they get when they are fully immersed.

I haven't been able to find a place around here where there is public access to a lake we can get the horses to any more. I think they frown on horses at the city and county parks :(.

I'd love to do that again though, if we had the chance.

WB-yes, you can take the horses all the way in, although I never have yet..Some of my friends have swam all the way across with their horses! The water is actually low right now and I can walk in pretty far before it drops off. The weather was gorgeous and the trees are changing color...I love this time of year!
