Well, add me to the list of prom dress shoppers. But its for my daughter of course. :p

Just spent 4 hours shopping. Whew, that's hard work!!! She tried on a dress in the first store we went and we liked it. But of course, had to see what else there was out there. So we went shopping for another 4 hours. At the last store, I carried almost every dress in her size to her fitting room and just made her try them on. Sometimes what they look like on the rack just doesn't do them justice. But low and behold, we didn't find anything and went back to the first dress.

To my pleasant surprise, it was on sale plus they had coupons in the store and we got MORE money off. Gotta love that! So we got this dress for SIXTY dollars.

So now we've just got to figure out flowers and jewerly. She already has a silver glitter pair of heels that makes the length of the dress perfect! So what do you think about flowers? She wants to carry a bouquet so I'm thinking white flowers with a couple yellow ones thrown in to bring it all together? Any other suggestions?? What about a spring bouquet? Her friend that is taking her is going to wear a black tux with yellow vest. So I'm thinking a cute yellow boutonniere?

The bodice (I think that's what you call it) has big clear multi-shaped stones sewn on it. So for jewerly, I'm thinking some kind of necklace with big stones too? But I'm really clueless on that one.

Artistic ones.. :help:

I'm no help but I'm glad you made it through the 4 hours! When I was shopping for my graduation dress I was lucky enough to have a plus size Deb around and went straight for it and got it for 62 bucks with tax. I'm an in and out type of gal lol. Cute dress :)

Very nice dress.. I am not sure about the flowers. Maybe the kind that can be put around her wrist so she is not carrying them. That to me would look more like a Brides Maid?? Jewelry, I would go with Rhinestones if you want to match with the stones on the dress. I like teardrops. Earrings, bracelet, and even an ankle bracelet would look great.

That is a pretty dress! Hmmm...I think yellow flowers for sure and white or maybe a light pink. I'm not for sure on that one! Some kind of silver neclace would be pretty.

Thanks everyone. Yes, four hours is pretty extreme for me. I am NOT a shopper. Run in, get what you want and back out again is typically me. I'm exhausted now!!!!

We were searching online for flower bouquets. (She doesn't want the wrist corsage and not much to pin anything to on the dress) She really liked one we found of daisys. But I like the spring multicolored ones better. But I guess the guy gets some input too. ;)

O I love the dress. Eh dressing shopping can be such a pain, I'm not looking forward to finding my prom dress for this year. I'm just too darn picky.

GREAT DEAL! My parents would have LOOVVVEEDD to paid $60.00 on my dress! I had to have a one of a kind so I can't even begin to explain the $$$$ I...I mean my amazing parents :)....poured into that dress. I like the daisy's for a dress like this...she's not going to like carrying them around for long that for sure. Simple jewelry nothing huge... it's going to be too much of a distraction otherwise.

Pretty dress, I agree I like the daisys - something simple that doesn't take away from the dress :)

Wow, what a great deal. And I love the dress! I don't know about the flowers; but I would go with some really simple for the jewlery. There is already alot of action going on in the waistband of that dress. =] Good luck.
