Woohoo...they look good and comfy! Wish I could put blankeys on my babies, but they are all accident prone. I don't even use fly masks anymore.....

ohh, They look great!! I'm so happy that it fit Myst and looks great!! I think the green looks great on City too! I guess that's the nice thing about black and whites.... they look good in anything! :)
Is the weight of the blanket heavy enough for you? I know here in my town we don't get snow so that blanket was just over kill and way to think for Muffin. Being not so smart, I thought heaver is better.. right? Muffin didn't like it and it made him too hot with his already crazy thick coat and it not being that cold here to begin with. He though I was crazy putting that thick thing on him! lol All I have now is just a thin rain sheet to keep him dry and help block the wind and he is fine with that.
I'm so happy that it works great for Myst!! Sure is nice to see it on a horse that actually likes and needs it! lol Muffin was not to thrilled and started to sweat with in the time I was buckling it up the first time I put it on him. That's when I figured out he didn't need it and it could make him sick being way too warm of a blanket for are mild winter weather. I'm so happy that it works for you and fits well. It sure looks good and doing its job! lol
Firsts time horse owner buys heavest blanket she can find for a overly hairy half draft in an area with mild winters? go figure... :)

Here is the pic from back when I was selling the blanket. You wanted to see it on Muffin. Even in this pic he was not too thrilled about it. lol It was hot that day so I had to wait tell the sun was going down to get pictures of it on him. I didn't even buckle the front or put the leg straps around his legs. Muffin was fallowing me around wanting me to take it off and wouldn't stay so I could get a picture of him. lol

I finally made him stay but he was not happy about it. lol
Here is the last time we saw the blanket before I boxed it up to ship. He even posed, left a little slobber on it and was happy to see me take it away and not put it back on him. lol It was just too thick and hot for him here.

I'm so happy that Myst will like it and wear it. It's neat seeing Muffins blanket on another horse that will appreciate it. :)

LOL. I know I got that for Myst initially, but she needed a 78, so the blue is on City.
The weight is perfect. Although both blankets are med weight, the blue one is heavier, which is better, cause City needs blanketed more than Myst. She gets one for those windy or wet winter days, while City may just need one on for added comfort.
Not sure if its due to Myst being half draft or not, guess I didnt know they get a thicker coat???but she sure is furry already...lol. She looks great in green.
Again. Thank you! The blue checkered is awesome on City.

LoL, I just noticed that you changed it up on me and I was thinking Myst had on the blue one. :) Well, That works out great and City gets the thicker one and everyone is happy :)
I didn't know Myst was half draft? How did I miss that?... Hmm.... Well, the half drafts do tend to get thicker coats and stay warmer then a normal light horse. Its a big pain with Muffin because he goes over kill on the hairy idea and sweats during the day and is warm at night even on the coldest days around here. I have been told that the paint's are known for getting more hair and you add some draft in there and you end up with a very thick winter coat.
Since this will be Muffins second winter here I am hoping he will get the hint it doesn't snow here and not grow in such a thick coat. He came from Canada in March of 07 at about 9-10 months old with his full coat from the winter snow up there. He about died when he got here and it was 80's+ and he still had that thick coat. He was covered in sweat just standing still and he was wild so I couldn't just walk up and help brush his coat off. Thankfully he was such a calm colt that I was able to get him social pretty fast and get that coat off him.
I hope this winter it's not so thick and he will adjust better.. I guess we will see.

Wow, he does get thick hu.
Myst gets hers early and sheds late, so I hear you on the thickness.
City dosnt get a real thick coat, hes been pampered early on, could be why. They kept him in a barn with lights in some stalls, closed doors and windows at the hint of a breeze. I mean, he gets a coat, just not super thick. He may start to, he should adjust to the difference. I pamper him anyway. If hes not cold, he dosnt get the blankey though.
Myst, yup, people see it that meet her, she is probley Perch, so we think. She has the mane and tail of one, the eye, head build, square butt. Just to many things yell PERCH on her. Vet, farrier, they all agree, so Im good. Dixie is the one that pointed it out to me...lol. She's so good. Im glad she got to meet Myst and give me that info to start the search on her. Attitude, wow, so mellllllooooooww and willing.
Well, both my horses are, but Myst is more so on the mellow side. Some times, yawningly so...lol
