Anyone have any ideas about how to keep the cats and dogs outta my veggie garden?

I have a raised bed garden that my lovely adorable cat has decided to use as her personal cat box. YUCK! Plus I start alot of my plants from seeds and they have no chance with all the scratching and cover and moving around. PLUS then those cute adorable aka NASTY dogs decide they have to go in for snack........ And then THAT tears everything up as well. I had some spray stuff once that I got from Wally World that was suppose to be a deterant, not, so I need some more help! I'll try anything at this point. We wanted to have lots of produce to put up and store and if they keep demolishing it there won't be much of anything!!!!!!

Fence. I know that will work for the dogs. If you use a small mesh fence and close big gaps, that will likely deter the cats as well.

Fence. That is what we used for the dog. You could even try a mini electric fence since you said its a raised bed, I am assuming its not a large area...some fencing does not turn corners well.

Raised bed gardens:

I made a nifty setup when I kept a veggie garden. I used PVC to criss-cross over the beds in arches, like a dome tent. In the early spring, I put plastic over this to make cold frames. In late spring, i replaced the plastic with mesh crop covers. In summer, I put deer netting over it to keep the birds, chickens, cats etc out.

these clips worked great.

You can anchor the PVC pipe by using 18" pieces of rebar, pounding it into the ground until about 6" is exposed, then slip the end of the pipe over this. Or get EMT/PVC clamps from the hardware store and use them to anchor the PVC onto wood raised bed frames.

Schedule 80 (grey) PVC lasts longer

More on cats: chili powder is a great deterrent. I get the cheap stuff at the $1 store and sprinkle it around my flower bed. Has to be reapplied after heavy rain or watering.
