Me on MTV?

Hehe! I'm excited! The person I work for sent me a link to a bulletin on a local horse forum for Wellington. The bulletin said

"MTV is working on a doentary that will be a behind-the-scenes look at how much goes into the Equestrian life. We're trying to find a variety of girls, but specifically a girl who has to "work to ride" as opposed to girls who may be better off financially and can just compete, have horses and travel easily. Girls who not only ride their own horses but also ride other girls horses to keep them competitive, or perhaps work at a barn in order to be able to ride and train there. Also the girl should compete and should be between 14-21. Ideally, the girl will live in the Wellington area, at least for the WEF if not all year. If you know of anyone that fits this description or if you know anyone who might pass the word on and have them write into helpme@mtvstaff.com "

That freakishly matches me. I'm fourteen, I ride ponies and horses for my trainer, and I also ride two horses((kora and moxy)) for one of my trainers students((who's 30 years old))..work at their barns, help at the shows, etc. I show a pony for my trainer, show kora for her student, and this year I might show the students other horse, Moxy along with Kora and the pony Nia. And all in exchange I get to show Laredo also.

I emailed the person and she said she would love to talk to me more and asked for my number. I'm expecting a call today :) Not getting my hopes up to much though.

Yeah the wellington-wef adults were on her in minutes. Questioning, etc. They even called her to confirm it wasn't a scam or anything of the sort. What do you mean with "catch"? I'm slowww ;)

Well, it sounds tremendously exciting, but my cautious side doesn't trust entirely MTV, necessarily to portray you, and your sport, in a healthy wholesome light. Do try to make sure that whatever happens, it's not something that would embarrass you later or be something you regret. Just be smart, don't end up on Talk Soup! ;)

Doubtful. They actually have a really neat series called "True Life" that discusses various real life issues young people deal with, from peer pressure, to wanting cosmetic surgery, to having Tourette's Syndrome, to being in massive debt, to being unemployed, to being gay.......really interesting show and very much unlike the majority of the shock-factor MTV programming like "A Shot of Love." :rolleyes:
