well I've made a decision. My best friend has 5 acres just a few minutes from my house. They have a small fenced out arena with a shed for feeding. A pond and a flattened area to ride. I decided to move Anna there temporarily it'll be free and we will be taking turns feeding. I found a new trainer just 15 minutes from here so I'll be going there once a week and taking lessons. Its not idea since her place doesn't have an arena or round pen.. but otherwise I'll be wasting another month not seeing my horse at all and my family needs the savings of money.

Also my town has a public Arena that my dad said we could trailer to on saturdays and my new trainer said I could use his arena as long as a want after my lessons. So thats two arena days.

It'll be just Anna and my friends horse so I hope it'll work out. Any opnions on this?

While I'm @ my friends i'll be looking for a more permanent place there is an awesome place just down the road from my new trainers and we're on a waiting list. Someone might possibly move in the summer.

Hopefully it won't be too stressful on Anna to move twice.

I've been crying a lot because I don't want to leave my barn at all its so far though and so expensive
but its going to be really really hard.

thanks for your input :)

I think this new place sounds pretty nice. It'll be awesome to have Anna so close where you'll be able to see her more often. I don't have an arena, roundpen or anything and I get along just fine. I hope you'll get some pics of the new place for us :)

yeah I think it'll be fun its just a big change from what I've been use to for so long, but i think I take a lot of things my parents do for me for granted and they need some extra money so I need to help them out.

yeah it's gonna be so weird that I'll just be able to go up there when I feel like it, I won't have to plan it out days in advance haha. and If I forget my boots I can just run home!

I bet you'll be fine. It will be nice to have her so much closer. I've been riding over 16 years and never ever once used a roundpen. Plus, once I got into high school, most of my riding was done in a big open field. And I trained to show on the A-circuit, not just dink around. I liked it way more than having to be cooped up in a ring all the time.

Sounds like a solution for a place for Anna to stay and a way to help you family save some money. I think you made the right decision.

I think it sounds great too! Anna will enjoy the change of scenery and getting to see you more.. and I bet your friend's horse will love the company! Will you two get to ride together much? *edited because I totally got names mixed up.. I'm using my phone and it looks a bit different.. sorry! :innocent:

outriding- yeah it'll be great to see her at least 5 times a week probably.

steelhorse- :) There are two small places in my town and in our price range that are full but i'm 1st on the waiting list so maybe one of those will open up too in a few months.

carla- Yeah! She needs a friend. O yea probably at least on weekends. We usually ride together once a month we just trailer to eachothers places and we have a blast being teenager haha. :)

I think this will be a good experience for both of you. And it helps out money wise. Good decision.

it sounds like a nice chance, maybe anna will enjoy the slower paced life for a while, you never know. Its great that you will have some access to an arena though
