I have been working hard on getting my RTR into steady solid training, and improving his flat work. He has been doing great today he was round and even when I took the draw reins off he got round, forward, and on the bit, plus he was right there in between my inside leg and outside rein (something I tested by dropping my inside reing on a circle) and his whole body was bending around and he was reaching under himself. So I decided to do some jumping and we warmed up over some x's then up to 2' it went and he was being really good with smooth forward jumps, so up it went to 2'6" which is he max. and he had these smooth round jumps that were a piece of cake. So I told my dad who was being nice and being jump crew to put it up (My jumps go 18"-2'-2'6"-3'-3'3"-3'6" Odd I know) the first time we came up to it the dog and pig were fighting so he was distracted but still he went over (knocked the pole off but he was round smooth just tapped it so still got a good boy) So we tryed a few more times and I dont think he had quiet figured out I had raised it but his canter to it was so balanced and smooth and the jumps were smooth that I couldn't bring my self to tell him he was being bad. Then it clicked and I got a great jump that was completley effortless and we quitt on that. I was very happy because awhile back he would not jump 2'6" pretty and he would refuse and bolt, he threw my sister off at 2'6" and she has alot better seat than me. (Although he was naughty today and bucked 3 times but I just ignored them and pushed him forward out of them)
