New Beauty video! <3

It was almost 60* degrees today! It was sort of cloudy out, but I beat the rain and got a little ride in on Beauty.:) She was pretty good, except I think she's taking WashintonBay's "buck if you're ready for spring" avatar a little too seriously.:innocent::p She kept randomly bucking at the canter.:rolleyes: Some were just little "I'm feeling good" bucks, but she did throw one big one that almost got me off.:nono: It came close, but I just braced against her neck and held on for dear life, lol. I stayed on, so it's all good.:cool: She hasn't been ridden very much at all lately and she often gets a little nutty when I let her lope, so I'm not surprised that she acted up a little. She still goes too fast, but believe it or not she is getting better at it. I still have hard time sitting her lope because it's so rough (I've tried sort of going into 2-point so I'm not bouncing around so much, but that's how I almost mangaged to get myself bucked off, lol.:innocent:), but that's our goal for this summer- to master her lope, lol.:D Good times are ahead!:p I'm looking forward to getting her back into shape and furthering (is that a word? It doesn't look right...) her training.:)


Anyway, I made a new video of my Beauty girl.:) The first 30-some seconds is the little mini video I posted here a few weeks ago. I liked it a lot so I decided to make it longer and use the whole song. I think it's one of my best videos yet (not that that's saying a whole lot, but still:p lol). Most of the footage is from today or last week; there are a few older clips/pics in the vid, but I still don't think you guys have seen them all before.

Hope you like it.:) I tried to make it interesting and improve my pathetic editing skills, lol.:rolleyes: My camera was having issues so the quality is not the best- sorry about that.

Anyway, I love the shot of Beauty starting at around 1:45.. what a lady! Such a pretty girl. Glad you got to ride today, too. It's so nice to be coming out of winter. :D

I haven't been on much.:( School is keeping me extremely busy. My teachers give wayyyy too many difficult, time-consuming assignments (like essays, etc) and homework almost every night, weekends too. Plus on Saturdays I have to work, and on sundays I'm usually grocery shopping with my mom or riding the horses and playing with the goats, and/or working out. Busy busy!:crazy: I miss the forum a lot.:( I'll be glad when summer is here.

Thanks! Her diet finally payed off, lol. She finally lost a lot of that big hay belly she had going on there for a while, lol. She's looking a lot better now. She's starting to get her summer coat too- she'll be completely shedded out in a week or two.:)

Great video,, She is a pretty girl. Good for you for hanging on.. My Bones has the *I'm feeling good*bucks too when we ran up the hill in the fields. Guess I'll be trotting some more before trying that again..I love that you can stand on Beauty like that! She's a good girl for standing still for you. Is is good to see you again.. thats is OK,, we all know how busy school and work can be. Hope school is going well for you.

I love standing up on her, and she really couldn't care less! It's amazing, she is just like, "yeah whatever. You're not bothering me, kid.":p lol

FatSpottedAppy: I would like to, but I don't know if she'll be ready for gaming or not. I plan to start trotting her on the pattern again in a couple weeks, but she needs to get better at loping before I can ask her for any kind of speed in the arena. Plus there is still the trailer issue. So probably not.:(

I would so love to actually have some one video me once in a while so I wouldn't have to keep getting off to move the camera!:p

Me'N'Chic: I've missed you guys too!:( I guess I am settling into the routine of school, but I still don't fit in very well. I'm kind of a loner, but that's ok. I've always been like that. The work is hard and very time-consuming, but over all my grades are good.
Sping break is coming up, but we only have the one Friday off and that's it because we have to make up a ton of snow days.:doh: It truly sucks.:( Plus my mom is making me work that Friday I do have off, and I work every Saturday as well so yeah, I won't be getting much of a break at all. Oh well.

That's advice I will be taking! I was worried about hurting Beauty's back because I was bouncing around so much so I decided to stand up because I thought it would be more comfortable for her. Bad results though!:innocent:
