I forgot to say how funny it was when Rebel was put in his stall last night for the first time. He went in and looked around like, "Oh, I could put a painting right there, I could wallpaper over here....that would be a perfect little reading nook..." LOL. My horse is special.
Anyway! So I went out today, he seemed much calmer than yesterday. BM said he ate his breakfast and has been a good boy. :)

His stall is on the left, you can see the big blue bag or blanket...whatever that is...a doorway, and then his stall is that very first one.
Oh - and WB, you had asked when I posted the first pics of the barn if the floors were painted concrete. Nope, not painted, thankfully. :)

THIS is how much of a mess he was last night. I couldn't do anything about it then because he was such a worried mess....but he was all dry today, so he got a good session with the curry comb, which he seemed to enjoy.

"OMG mom, I'm either going bald or this barn has shag carpet...."

Rebel head
Longed him....just in his halter. I didn't want to do too much with him, so we just took it nice and easy. I need to get a pair of sidereins so I can put his surcingle on and get serious about our training. :)
He was a really good boy - we even had CANTERING! ON CUE! RIGHT LEAD! BOTH DIRECTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so so so so so proud of him. I've never gotten him to canter before. Of course, it was pretty much a hand gallop....but the point is he DID IT, so he got lots of praise for that. :) Unfortunately no pics or video of cantering, but I'm sure I'll catch it sometime. (As a reminder, he was trained NOT to canter for racing....so this is a big step!)

Feel free to critique his trot. :) Please forgive the fumbling towards the end. We're still getting our downward transitions down....obviously not doing terrifically, but he's getting there....

Back in his stall. I love this pic.

Sleeeeeeepy poneh :)
I don't know why he looks so sweaty in that pic. Must have been the flash, because he really wasn't wet when I stopped our session.

He's so cute. :) I love him!
