Just a couple of pics of "my boy". I got him as a very sick 17 day old orphan. A lot of sleepless nights were spent giving pep talks to this kitten! I was so excited when he finally reached the milestone of 5 ounces, and now at eight months old, he weighs in at a hefty 9 pounds.

Congratulations. Look at the beautiful life and baby all your work help create. I would bet your bond is pretty solid. That is not easy work - but you will get so much from this darlin kid cat. I think this is really great!

Thank you, but to be honest, he couldn't give a rat's tail about me. He doesn't like to be held or petted. All I get from him is a nose kiss first thing in the morning. He won't even sleep with me. He sleeps with the dog! But he I love him and he continually amazes me that he's here and healthy when the odds were so stacked against him.

So cute!! Good for you putting in that time with him. I know what you mean, my cats aren't usually very affectionate to me - I think they just take us for granted :p. They'd probably panic if we left (...that's what I tell myself, anyway, Lol).

Thanks for the compliments on him. He went outside with me yesterday, and he really makes me smile. He had his first encounter with a blowing leaf, then he discovered grass was nice to bat around and stretch out on, and he has become the mighty bug hunter. He is absolutely amazed at the world around him. It makes a couple of months of sleepless nights worth it to see how much he enjoys his life. Yeah, I know, I'm gushing. It always happens when I talk about him.:)
