I started online talking to Caitlin(cloedoll) for a while, and I was just about to say I was going to go on a ride when she told me she was going on a ride. Whatta coincidence.
But I went out there, got Tyke, took him down to the barn and groomed him up. He sure is getting his winter fuzzies quickly.
Put his bitless bridle, let him walk around the pasture for a moment while I took pictures, and then off we went onto some trails that I just found a couple weeks ago. They're by far my most favorite trails ever and this is Tyke and I's second time being on them. We explored a lot more than before.
I brought my old Kodak C533(actually, my moms now sicne I gave it to her) It's soo different to use now that I have my Nikon D40. I hate it-- I dont see how I took pictures with it before. They all come out blurry.
Anyway, pics!:

Tacked up and ready to go.

Looking for his herd.

I was on a hill opposite of our pasture looking for the trail entrance. That land right below the trees on the oposite hill is actually one of our pastures. :D

Looking for the beginning of the trail

Found it! Right before we started loping up the hill.

More trail.

My favorite part of the trail, it looks so much better IRL.

When we got back after I took the sweat scraper to him. He was sweaty! Makes me think of how many people out there think that trail riding doesnt take much horse at all.. :)

Another sweaty pic. I think my boy is looking good. :D
And.. Who wants to ride Tyke?! ;)

Lope (http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=otqmir&s=4)
Lope 2 (http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2198d49&s=4)
(I stopped short on this one because I met a gate. I was SO surprised because that gate cuts us off from a trail that I'm extremely familiar with.
My boy did so great! We climbed and went down very steep hills and we galloped and jumped things on the trails. I can only imagine what he must've been like when he was 12. He's 23 now. Thanks for looking!
