Got to thinking and it seems like I haven't heard anything from TBGirl in a while.... I know she was looking into buying that Morgan mare - not sure what ever happened with that!

TBGirl - we miss you! LOL :)

This was her most recent update post:

Tried out Moo (Grade pony) - Page 3 - Post #27 (http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/showthread.php?p=123995#post123995)

UPDATE ON THE MORGAN: Since the barn I board at is a morgan barn primarlily...we got connections hehe. That morgan mare was bought by the seller 2 years ago as a lesson horse. She found out the mare couldn't jump (no idea why) and then started trying to seller. A lady wanted to buy her and breed her really badly, but she found out the morgan mare could NOT be registered. The mare has phenominal bloodlines I'm told..but can't be registered. Other then that she's supposidly a real nice mare. I don't know why she can't jump though? I am assuming she refused fences...or maybe it's a leg/hoof issue (hope not). So, why couldn't a horse be registered??????? I have no clue about this. Needless to say, if she passes the vet check tonight and I still want her after riding her Sunday I wont offer more then $1,000 and that's it.

Hmm, I wonder what's going on, too...

Come baaaaack TBGirl!

Awwww! :)

Hey Jess I'm here! I missed talking with all of you guys! I had to take a forum break for a little while. I was popping on here and there to keep track of updates on all of you though.

Well, I got her!!
I brought her home last Wednesday...so I've had her just a week. Funny story, the seller and I had another argument- sorta (shocking, huh lol)? I told her I wasn't going to get her because of how everything was being handled. The very next day the seller called me back and apologized, as did I. The whole thing was out of hand and pointless...I have had some personal things going on (a very hard break up with my boyfriend of 3 years) so everything was getting to me easily and I was on edge.

It all worked out in the end. I got a good horse with a super sweet temperament! The seller and I even hugged when I picked her up and we exchanged email addresses! :)
I've only rode her once so far due to the weather here in Upstate NY...but she's doing well. I lunge her or turn her free in the indoor daily so she's getting exercise. In fact, I'm headed there now. I'll talk to you guys soon! Oh and I'd love to hear your updates as well! ;)

So far only one pic (it's been late evening when I get there and lighting is bad). I have to get some new/better pics asap.

I'm glad you're back to tell your news, I didn't want to say anything since it's your huge news to tell! She is beautiful, I can see why you got hooked right away, I love that mane, I am a sucker for long manes. Her coloring reminds me of Rompy a bit, I never thought of purple on him, it looks really pretty on her. Give her hugs and extra hugs, I'm so happy you got her and all turned out well and I hope you have many many happy years together.

Sorry to hear about the bad personal news but congrats on the new horse.

Welcome to the world of Morgan ownership. She looks like a pretty girl. I just got back in the house after an hour of grooming and working tangles out of those Morgan manes. I'm sure you two will be having lots of fun.
