Peggy will be undergoing an enhanced CT scan tody. She's been having severe back problems for many years, and now, a spot has been found in one of her lungs.

She's been on major pain meds off and on, and steroids as well. Hopefully, the CT scan will help determine what's been causing her back pain, and that the spot is nothing serious.

So if she seems a little snippy lately (Gypsy runs and hides in corner):eek:, this might explain why, lol!:p

Good luck, today, Peggy! Please update us when you know something! (Gypsy will be waiting with the big stick to prod Peggy into cluing us in!):D

My Prayers are up for you Peggy. Do you have someong to drive you to your scan appt. and back home so if they need to give you a little dose of a sedative to keep you relaxed they can? They can't if you drive yourself ... a hard lesson I learned.

My mother is taking me since I am already pretty dopey. I am allergic to the dye they use for contrast... so I am on all kinds of stuff to PREVENT a reaction any way on top of pain meds for my back and ibuprofen

I hate when they treat sympthoms instead of finding the problem...

That's good that your Mother is taking you and hopefully you will be relaxed during the scan. The CT Scan is a good thing ... it is looking for the problem so keep reminding yourself of that.

I am trying but the THOUGHT of laying on that hard surface with my back muscles spazzing is NOT fun LMAO but I hope they find BOTH problems with one scan !!

I am beggining to wonder if the meds aren't causing me to have kidney problem this back pain is "different" then my "normal"back pain ... and when I take AVO" it goes away for a day then comes back with a vengence... hmmmmm

Sure hope you start to feel better soon Peggy Sue. I sure do know what you mean about laying on those hard CT scan tables, when I had a herniated disk in my back it was torture to lay there (and try not to move) on that thing. I found that pain meds didn't help my pain either, sometimes good old ibuprofen helped the pain better, altho the pain meds did improve my mood, LOL.

I did break down and go to hospital on my back pain Sat and it is a really bad kidney infection so I am on SMZ's for that ...

I am finally feeling better was actually UPRIGHT all day today hoping to get down to the horses some tomorrow I did yesterday but it was walk down there groomed a bit then sat on crate feeding peppermints to Sassy LOL

OK got tentive results today adn they "think" it is scar tissue from my last bout with cancer in my lypmhonodes(sp) so they are gonna comparethem to my last CT scan from five years ago and keep an eye on it so ... good news I guess:rolleyes:
