we all get these letters...mine today was a petition to get a million signatures to keep pastors on tv....
thank goodness someone once sent me to snopes .com
great site for checking these lovely stories.....

i sent back that it was false...

Heh... I don't think I've seen that one. Did they say pastors were going to be banned or something?

I don't get a LOT of those any more. I see more of them posted around various forums. I have corrected those with snopes links and recommend we all check snopes or whatever we want to use for fact checking on anything like that we receive. :)

I ALWAYS get those darned things and immediately look on snopes to see what I can find. I USUALLY don't want to embarrass the sender so I just hit "reply to sender" (unless I think they should be embarrassed for passing on such garbage and then I hit "reply to all":)) and attach the link to the snopes article so they can see the TRUTH!
