Well at work we got a new horse in for training and I have permission from the owners to post the pictures I took......

Meet Marshmellow.....his name isn't actually marshmellow but that is what we are calling him right now. He is an overweight Mustang.....they don't know which herd he came from but they bought him from a lady in Oklahoma. I LIKE HIM! there is just something about him that just draws me to him.....he is a total sweetheart but pushy because he expects treats all day every day. His owners say that his neck is so cresty because he has an insulin defisiontsy (SP?).

i love classic roans....Mmmmm...strawberry roan! and I love mustangs :D

one of my friends has an IR(also sometimes called cushings-like syndrome) horse..she feeds a magnesium suppliment and it really helps a lot. It is called Quiessence (i think that is the right spelling). It helps keep the weight and cresty-ness down.

He's beautiful, I love his coloring and I love Mustangs so to me he's the perfect horse! I am drawn to them too, it's the eyes, when you look into their eyes it's like they have seen everything and they know everything. My boy is downright spooky sometimes, I know it sounds nuts but there are times where I just know he knows stuff.

When I met him and the rest of the herd it was their eyes that kept pulling me in. He had such a lost look, his foster mother was wonderful to him but as she said she thinks he knew that wasn't his forever home and he worried about it. He was in the most beautiful place I've ever seen but he seemed sad. He had been in his previous home since birth. When he came here it was like "I'm home now let's party" and he's been happy from day one, his eyes show he's happy and his actions show he's happy.

Hope we'll see more pictures of this buckaroo, I really love him!

I love those colors!!
If hes a BLM you can write down his tattoo and they can tell you if you call the BLM.
This girl was from the Nevada herd

I don't see a freezebrand on this guy. We had one at the BSA camp I worked at and his freezebrand was VERY visible on the left side of his neck

Doesn't he have one on his neck in the last picture? There's an Arabian at my barn with a freezebrand on her neck and with her winter coat you can hardly make it out but in the summer it's clear as day.

Oh my gosh is he a fatty! He's going to look gorgeous once he's in shape.

I think it's sad when horses look like this...Just as sad as when their ribs are showing, and just as unhealthy...:(
