Well I'll start off by saying all the horses, goats, cats, chickens, dogs, and humans are unharmed! But it's been a rough weekend. Thursday night was hell at work, so I got off late. I then only got 2 hours of sleep, and had to drive to nashville for a bachelorette party. Had a great night out in nashville, until drama happened at 1:30 (but that's a whole other story). So I didn't get to sleep until 5:30am. And then at 9:00am I got a call from my BOs to say a Tornado hit the farm. She called to tell me that all the horses were ok, but the hay barn and the fences were demolishd. Apparently the hay barn turned into a kite and was thrown into Fiddler's pasture. I wish I could have seen the horses reactions. All the fences were torn down, but luckly our horses are pigs, so they didn't bother to leave the knee high rye grass.
The worst damage happened to this poor young couple that lives at the front of the farm. Their trailer got 2 trees into it. Luckly they had gone out of town for Easter so they were not hurt.
Other than that it's mostly trees down. We've got alot of work ahead of us, lots of cutting and tree removal. But at least everyone is safe and sound!
Pics coming in next post!

Woah! Did the rest of Auburn take a hit or were you the only lucky ones? I'm so glad to hear nobody - people or animal - got hurt. How fortunate. I could just see Fiddler watching the hay barn going 'Hay! Please land here, please land here...."

I wish I could have seen the horses reactions.
Me too... fearful as it would be... I'd pay to actually see one.
I am sure glad no critters or people were harmed at your farm.
And actually, I'm encouraged that the mobile isn't more smashed. Living in a mobile surrounded by trees here, I fear our trees would cut through this place like butter if one came down on it. Granted, our trees here are quite a bit bigger, but that place held it's own pretty well.

Luckly Auburn is pretty untouched. This was in Notasulga, AL. And there was also one that tore up Loachapoka, AL. The whole area where they have syrup sopping is demolished! Here's a pic:

I'll add captions and explain the pics when I get a chance... right now the computer isn't cooperating!

Im glad all the animals and people are ok.
Tornadoes are NO fun.
WB, there is a single wide just a few houses from me that got hit by a tree due to straight line winds(last yr), that tree was old and big, and the mobile dosnt even look touched.
Single man with kids too, so Im glad they are ok.

Amazing, and so frightening. I'm glad that the animals and people are all OK. Tornadoes scare the crap outta me. Last year the ranch I got Roanie from had their barn blown down by a tornado, I remember the storm too, it was a nasty one and I was a nervous wreck. No horses were hurt thankfully, but the barn was a total loss.
