Just another mood boosting thread since we seem to be a little grumpy lately.
I'm kinda obsessed with painting my fingernails so I thought I would see if anyone else likes to have theirs painted all the time. I mostly do mine as french tip because for some reason having them all painted is boring to me lol. So I paint french tips in all sorts of crazy colors. Bright Orange has been my favorite, but they have been pink, purple, red, white, silver and who knows what else. I recently painted them lime green. I originally did the checkered one first but then wanted lime green french tips so I left the checkered because it was too cool to take off. The ring fingers on both hands have a tiny white stripe under the color. Yes these are my real nails :)

And I did my thumb like this for easter :D

The lime green was wearing off so I did robin egg blue tips with lime green under the color on my ring fingers and white on my pointer fingers

I used to... but alas, horses came into my life and it seems pointless. I treated myself to a manicure on my birthday in March and the paint was chipped up within three days. I just try to keep them clean and filed these days!:)

Haha yes I have that same problem and working at an espresso stand with bleach water about kills them but keeping them painted at least with a clear coat seems to help. I wear gloves pretty much anytime i'm around horses so they don't get all dried out :D

Lol, I love painting my nails, too!
Not crazy like that though, but it looks cool!
Right now I just have a french manicure on my fingers and my toes are pink with little diamonds hehe

Same here. My nails are never long enough to paint! In fact, I was biting mine as I was reading this. :p

Wow you have such cute + perfect nails! I don't have a habit of biting them but I bite them when they get annoyingly long :p. I usually colour them in with a black Sharpie haah.

Love your nails, great coloring job. I have nails similar to yours and I would actually love to have a french tip on mine but I am so sucky at painting nails, it's not even funny! How do you do it?! :D

Lots and lots of practice :) I can finally do my left hand good enough that it looks like my right hand

If I ever come to Oregon then, you can do my nails. :D

I do my nails too, but I can't do it all fancy like you did. Mine are black and silver atm. I have a horrible habit of picking off the polish lol.

Wow, your nails look really nice! I tried painting my nails, i really, really did...but then i went riding...and then i cleaned the house...and then my pretty nails were no more. *sigh* I also chew on them whenever they get any longer than 1/16 of an inch, i'm pretty obsessive about it.

Annie - go to Wal-Mart or Meijer and if you go to the nail polish selection around where the fake nails are, they usually have a French manicure kit. :) That's how I do mine whenever I feel the urge to get French tips.
Though....I don't seem to have a problem biting my nails. Rather, they like to break off when I'm doing stuff like tightening any sort of strap dealing with horses, LOL. So I gave up and now my nails are just blah. But my toes are a pretty red. :)

I do!:p I always do a lousy paint job , but I still paint my nails all the time. At the moment they are like an emerald (sp?) green, and last week I had half my fingers blue, and the other half pink (like blue, then pink, blue, pink-- you get the point;)).:p I wish I was as good at it as you are though; your nails look awesome!
