I know nothing about conformation, I just know what I like and I think she is gorgeous.

I think she is one ugly horse. You need to rid of her and right now.
So, in the near future, do not come looking for me if she comes up missing.

Alright, i'll bite.:)
She's a good looking horse. I don't like that she's downhill (and at this age, it's not gonna change), and she has a long back. He shoulder angle's steep, but i really like her neck set. Can't see anything about her throatlatch, and there is something a bit funny with her front legs, but i can't put my finger on it. Maybe her cannon bones are tied in? That might be what i'm seeing, but i'm not too sure.
Overall, she's a nice horse - i like her.:)

Thanks! I see it too, with the front legs. And can't put my finger on it. According to the vet and her therapist it's all perfect but something about her in pictures really bugs me.
I'll have to look more into it. It doesn't hinder her performance yet. But the key word is YET. ;):cowboy:

Over overall appearance reminds me of a bronze figurine of what a quarter horse looks like. A nice, normal quarter horse, not the overweight, over-muscled 'things' of halter classes.
I think she's standing a bit under herself in front, and if she stands that way all the time, than you might call her 'camped under' in front. If it's a fluke, then it's just the way she was posed.
I only see 'downhill by one of the several ways it's measured, and that's stifle to elbow. She is a little downhill there. Maybe. There's an unfortunate shadow that makes it hard to exactly pinpoint her elbow. But from croup to wither she's level, from hip to center of the neck she's level. Her nice high neck tie-in will assist her in not being too heavy on the forehand, I think. :)

lol yeah I get that alot. I have a belt buckle from AQHA and they always say she looks like the foundation horse on my buckle.
If you look at the fence line, that could be part of the downhill problem. I only say that because I've been told by my farrier and vet she is very uphill.
Here is another shot, same spot, but different direction? See now she looks uphill on the hill. Didn't think of that spot when I took the pictures. And another shot just for fun. Maybe it will put some light on the front legs. Like I said, they seem...odd.. but have not made a difference in her performance as of yet.

Actually, that picture above is less flattering and does make her look downhill, but she's not straight to the camera, and whether the ground is 'level' is harder to determine on the surrounding scenery.
When I looked, I actually took the picture into Paint and drew lines. Starting at the bottom with - is she on level ground and straight to the camera. I think she is.
Lines are below. There's lots of ways people measure up or down hill, I think these are all of them. For me, the most telling one is hip to center of the neck.
And to my eye, she's near level, which is good, in all measures except maybe stifle to elbow, and I'm not completely sure I've placed the elbow right, because it's in shadow, and because she's a little camped under in the pose.

Right there, the only crooked line, is that spot that I can't quite put my finger on. Is there a term for this? For her job, she's comformationally correct. If they're a little down hill for cutting that's even better IMO. The dressage is a temp thing so we'll just pull through it. lol So she' pretty level then?

I'd say so. :)

Not necessarily in these pictures, but in others of you riding her, I have often thought she has a LONG back. I don't like that in a horse myself. Other than that she seems to be a well put together horse.

Yeah, I'd say she's got a bit longer back than I'm used to seeing in a QH, but nothing bad at all. She looks pretty uphill to me in the first pic, but then downhill in the second, side-on pic.... I think the angle of the first pic is more correct though. Does she toe in at all in the front? I see what you guys are saying about them, but it looks more like poor shadowing than a real flaw so I dunno. Looks a bit camped under in the back too, but considering her discipline, not a bad thing. Croup seems a bit steep, but I'd say it's more of an issue of developing more muscle than anything, which is obviously going to come about with more work and training. Overall, I agree with Vic. Absolutely hideous, feel free to hide her in my backyard anytime if the embarrassment gets to be too much ;).

lol I'll send her there right away!
I never felt like her back was long. But I guess it's because I'm like 6 feet tall and my 80 lb roping saddle covers everything lol
At shows I see some BIG QHs with really lanky looks to them. Especially in WP classes. So she always seemed more compact to me than they are.

Oh and no she doesn't toe in at all. Believe me... I pay enough for a performance farrier. I know everything about that dang horses feet from angles to shoe size to check books....

lol yeah...a real working saddle with all the straps, rigging etc.. is about 70+... but it's got a purpose. If you get a cow (or horse) you rope and need to dally etc...it can help the horse out a great deal.
But I recently traded my custom for a new custom (got a cedit plus cost of the custom) that is only 30 lbs... since I broke my back I just cant use my old. I could only ride if Bobby was there to put the saddle on her for me.
