Well I finally got J to admit to what he really wanted in a horse. He wanted a gaited horse so there will be no jarring trot that he can just get on and ride when he feels like it and not have to do a lot of work with. That being said we found a papered 6 year old roan Walker gelding that is guarenteed bomb proof for $1750 (owner just wants him to go to a good home). Well when J found out how much the horse would be (purchase, tack, food, boarding, etc.) he says 'Will you ride him too? Cause I don't think I'll ride more then a couple times a year, is that a good deal for what I'll ride?" So we talked about it and decided that there will be no horse just for him. When I am ready we will buy a second horse for me and Koda will become the kids/beginners/boyfriend/spare horse. That is what I planned to do with Koda when I out grew him anyway! hahaha! And we will stick to walking trail rides when J is with us so there will be no jarring (he has such a comfy walk!!!). So if anyone in the N. Idaho area is looking for a nice Walker gelding I can get you a phone number...
