Pics from today!

One of my best friends came over for a visit today (she lives in MN so we aren't able to get together as often as we'd like to), we had a great afternoon going out to eat, getting out to an area nature reserve, and best of all.....out to see Koko!

Here are some photos from today....it was pretty windy and the sun was setting, so we're either squinting, or getting blasted from the wind, lol. In that one picture I think Koko may be asleep, ha ha.....

Koko was so cute today, we are still getting to know one another, it had actually been over a week and a half since I've been able to get out to the place where I board her at (I had the flu last weekend and then I get home kind of late during the week from work and it is already so dark by then....). Koko was a real sweetie and walked right up to me.....awwwww! :) My friend Rhonda liked how friendly Koko was, so that made me so happy. She isn't a real tall horse, maybe about 14.1hh. But I sort of like smaller horses, Kara was 14.3 and Daanex was 14.2, I imagine Koko may grow a little bit more, she is still filling out yet, she changes a little every time I see her. And that bay is so cute, she is an Arabian and always has to walk up to me and greet me. Koko's kind eye is what really got me when I first went out to look at her....every time I get out to see her she makes me smile.

Yay! More great pictures of Koko! Glad you guys had nice weather. I was in Eau Claire today with my mom and kids. We passed through Chippewa Falls, I thought - (for the 1,000th time) "hey, Renee lives here!"

Thanks, I feel like we're bonding now too, she really seems happy to see me, she never walks away from me.....another reason I was so dang happy today!

Thanks WB! I want to do a lot of groundwork with her over the winter (they are putting up a new barn and small indoor arena this fall), so we'll do some ground-driving, and then by early spring I will start saddling her up, and we'll go from there, hope to be going for some rides next spring!

Yeah, I think so too Ranger44......I feel at ease and real comfortable around Koko already, she is really a friendly horse, she has a nice disposition and is real laid-back. Hoping she is the same way under saddle too....lol.
