Just joined

[APHA4Life]

Hello everyone. My name is Heather and I just joined this site tonight. I'm 18 years old and have a 7 year old APHA gelding who is also half thoroughbred. His registered name is Tardy Lil Louie, but his barn name is Louie. Every once in awhile, we go on trail rides, but I mainly show him in jumping, hunt seat, western pleasure and the equitation classes. I do barrels and poles with him for fun. I board at the same barn Prissy18 does, which is Carter Bros Stables. I live in IL right outside of Springfield, IL but I'm originally from Streamwood, IL which is a sub urb of Chicago. I also have a 2 year old female australian shepherd named Sassie and a blue and white parakeet named Buddy. I'm attending Black Hawk College East Campus this fall and will major in both Equestrian Science and Horse Science. I want to be a horse trainer after I graduate and also own a boarding stable. Well, just thought I'd introduce myself. :cowboy:

OMG Saturday rocked! We have to do that again next weekend! That was the most fun I've ever had! Our horses are definitely goofballs.

What are you talking about, Louie is always sweet...well 99% of the time. He just isn't sweet with you, because he hates you.

FYI QH, Paint, TB, all runs in the lines of an APHA horse.
So, a APHA is not crossed with TB, it is TB/Paint.

Cool! I used to show, but I am more cut out for the speed events! I'm all about the barrels and poles and things like that, so Rodeo was more my thing. I think Louie is really pretty! I look forward to seeing more pics of him!

You need to go to school! You hardly ever go. You'll be fine, trust me. Just be careful! If worse comes worst, just don't go to the barn tomorrow. You don't need to be stuck there in that nasty tornado weather.
