just wanted to update everyone... or anyone who cares anyways!! :)

i am still here. we decided to hold off on getting another horse right now. the rescue wasn't willing to foster out buddy for a few weeks prior to adopting him and we got really busy with other things so we decided that we didn't want to add another horse when we don't have time for a lot of horsey stuff with the two we have. so it will wait. adding to our herd is on our 5 year plan though. hubby told me yesterday he hopes to have at least 6 at a later date, so that makes me happy.

other than that, we have been camping, cleaning up the yard, putting together new play toys for the kids outside, building a sandbox and putting up new fencing and cleaning up the summer pasture.

the horses are out there full time now and LOVING it. all they do is run all day. it's great. we haven't gotten a chance to go out riding yet this spring, but we are hoping to get a chance this weekend. i got the finishing pieces for the bridle i traded Vicklynn for, so i'm excited to get that out and try it on Booty.

my trip to San Diego is in 2 weeks and i'm excited and nervous for my first trip away from my family and leaving hubby and the kids.

hope everyone on the forum is good. i miss you guys!!

No wonder I haven't seen you around here much...you don't have much spare time at the moment. Hope you get to ride soon now that you have gotten tons of projects done.

Loves: Your not the only one that has been MIA. Glad your still around! I just came back from a hiatus! Like Equine said you'll find the right one in time! Glad to hear things are doing well otherwise!

Good to hear from ya Loves. I haven't been around much lately and have missed a lot. I probably haven't had some of your problems, but I DO understand busy. Pastures to mow, fences to build/maintain, horses to feed, feral barn cat and kittens to tend, acres and acres of grass to mow, a barn needing repairs, etc, etc. Did I mention a job and fish that need to be caught and pesky geese to run off before they nest, trail riding and shoveling manure. Oh and painting inside and out on the houses and barn, a leaking screen porch roof. I'm tired, I'll finish telling ya later.:(:)

thanks guys! the fencing was a hard job, we redid the entire fencing for half of the 80 acre pasture with 5 strands. ah!! at least it's done for awhile now and we won't have to do it anytime soon again. :)

Thanks for asking about the kids Amy. They have been sick for the entire month of April. Ear infections, sinus infections, Fifth disease (a virus), 24 hour flu, etc. The only thing they haven't had is the swine flu! :) They are now almost 100% again and i'm so happy! I'm keeping them in quarantine until I get back from my trip. I don't want to be sick for CA.

Everyone does sound like they've been super busy. I'm happy to report that the only other big project for the entire summer is our new horse shelter/run-in and fencing for the paddock that is going to go with that. It will only be about an acre or two, so it won't be as bad!

Hey, it's great to hear from you and hear that things are starting to calm down for you again.
I've had Fifth disease and it's not fun at all.. :( That was a long time ago, though.
