I just heard some very exciting news....

I told my mom a while ago I really wanted to go to Florida. Just in casual conversation, not like I was begging her or was making any plans to go. My grandparents live in Delray Beach and when I was little I used to go up every year for 2 weeks around Christmas time, but haven't been since I was 11. I LOVE the beach, and the sun and palm trees and just relaxing in the warmth. My grandparents have a pool and a hot tub which is very cool.

Anyways, my Grandpa called me for my birthday a couple days ago and starts the conversation out saying "I hear you're coming to visit us soon!" I'm like "whaa?" And he's like "Yeah, your mom said you're going to be coming down here in a couple weeks." "Whaaa???? REALLY?!" :D

I talked to my mom yesterday and she said she could use her miles or she'd chip in $80 for a ticket which only cost $160. I'm SO surprised! There's a strong possibility I'm going to be vacationing in Florida in two weeks!

This is the best month ever, I swear.
1.) It's my birthday month
2.) I have the ENTIRE month off from work
3.) This Saturday me and Chica are going to Half_passing_haffie's place for a week (super thrilled about that)
4.) I'm going to Florida!!

I love the beach, too but the main beach that everyone goes to isn't as nice as it used to be (Panama City Beach, Fl). There's always a bunch of drunken teenagers there. Mexico Beach, FL is nice though.

I haven't bought my ticket yet, but I'm leaving the 24th and coming back on the 31st. Then the 1st I have to go back to work. Mehhh.
My mom's going to pick me up some swim suits today. She knows my size and my style so I can trust she won't get anything hideous :p
