sooo the new filly has a name!!!!!!! I have decided to call her cheyanne.... after CG( kristy's) Daughter. I thought about calling her kristy... but my good friends name is kristy ( i ride with her all the time) and when ponying the filly, it would become ocnfusing calling the horse and her going what??? plus cheyanne just fits her better.

Kristy and her family helped me out alot after the accident with scarlett. Kristy was my " rock" telling me everything would be ok and clear up with time. and it did. she was a huge insperation to me. cheyanne went with her whenever they had to mail things to me. since it would be difficult to name her kristy.. i decided cheyanne... who knows if i get a little colt next.. i may name it after her son too! not htat everyone here didnt help, you all did and i appriciate it to this day. after all dreamer wouldnt still be standing in my barn if it was not for all of you

here is a new pic of chy:http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee94/patriotsdreamz/newpaintfillydreamersister088.jpg

she is doing fabulous. she will now let you walk right up to her, she leads pretty good as well, and doesnt jump when you touch her. she also is gettting pretty used to being brushed as well.

I have always loved that name!! Oh she looks so beautiful PD! It's really great that she's not so scared/unsure like she was the first day you brought her home. I think she's adorable :)

Well Chy (horse) sure looks great compared to when she arrived. And I'm sure CG43's little girl is going to be tickled pink to know you named the filly after her. How sweet!

Good name. Chy is a tenacious kid, and I bet she'll get a kick out of having a cute little filly named after her. :)

OMG!!! I just came to this thread! :jawdrop: How sweet!!! I can't wait to tell Chy about it. She will be so surprized.

Awwww.... I didn't do anything that someone else might have done... I just wanted to make sure Dreamer stayed where he belongs... with YOU!

Your little filly is looking so much better. I am honored that you named her after my daughter. :)

That is a perfect name. I do see the similarity in their "bangs". :) How special. I love those western/indian sounding names. I want to name my daughter (if I ever have one) Dakota.

chy did wonderful today. we have been working alot on her trust. She allowed me to pick up both front feet WITHOUT A FIGHT today! :-) she now leads, stops, backs up on command, and lowers head on command. you can walk up and grab her halter, and she is picking her feet up too! FAST learner

Seems like the Dreamer horses are fast learners in general!
