I'm not sure how to edit my other post to add this to it so I wouldn't have to start a new thread and people would know there's a new question in it. I decided I'm putting him on Rimadyl as most of you recommended it. My question is my friend also has a dog on pills but she's done all store pills for him. Well she heard somewhere that she should use K-9 aspirin and then also glucosamine tablets. The aspirin would be for pain the glucosamine for movement. Is this an ok mix for her to do? I told her as well to do Rimadyl as everyone here pretty much recommended it but she refuses to put a lot into the dog at all. I told her it's actually cheap. I have an order in for my dog which I have to pick up this afternoon.

I don't think there's any conflict with the glucosamine, but there probably is with the aspirin. She'd want to talk to the vet about that.

I would ask a vet. Rimadyl and aspirin are both similar so I definitely would not give those two together. In fact my dog is on Rimadyl right now. I know there are some people are do not like Rimadyl, unfortunately meds are not without their side effects.... so far my dog has done OK on Rimadyl, and I make sure he eats when I give it to him (otherwise it can be hard on the stomach).
