Well I am looking at both!!! Woohoo! I want to get a small LQ with a 3 horse slant. We are also looking at 3/4 ton trucks! Would be nice if we got them before Christmas!:D

Must be nice! I know we're a little limited with our half ton... there are places we just won't go with the horse trailer for fear of burning up our truck. But it's been getting us by on the local trips.

Which ones in particular are you thinking you want?

Well the truck will definately be a Ford F250 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel. (used) As far as the trailer I am not sure. Just going through ads on Craigs list to see whats there. Now is a pretty good time to buy...I am seeing all sorts of deals, just need to make sure th trailer is everything we need and safe.

Good luck! With the economy the way it is if you have the money now is a great time to buy. I picked up a Lakota a year and a half ago. It was way more trailer than we needed at the time but I figured it was an investment and we'd eventually be very happy with it. I've used it some to haul things other than horses and hauled my first horse in it last week. It's a 3 horse slant with smaller living quarters.

My 'someday/dream' truck is an F250 Diesel King Ranch. :) They'll haul pretty much anything a normal human being should be pulling behind a truck! Good luck with the trailer search. A 3 horse SL is what my cousin pulled for years before he got his 5 horse SL... but I think the 3 horse is a perfect size. :)

I have friends that just bought the 3 horse SL with LQ Classic - it is gorgeous and the horse area is awesome! The stalls are wide, there is a lot of storage and I really like the padding, divider closures and manger areas. The LQ are very nice too - you can actually walk a few steps in there... I have two other freinds with LQ's that seem like you step in and either go up to bed, stand there and cook or go into the bathroom - no room to go a single stride!

I am looking at everything. I found a "weekender" LQ, but haven't seen it yet. Looks nice from the pics. Plus....whenever I am not using it I can rent it out. One of my friends is doing that with her LQ and she has had great success! Basically she is getting the trailer for FREE by doing this! So why not! :)
