Well hubby and i just got back in from our first ride of the season. We didn't want to go for too long of a ride since our horses are not in shape at all, so we went for a 15-20 min ride. Hubby rode for about 10 min. longer because he went and got the horses in the pasture and rode Booty up to the front with Norman following so we could bridle them up and brush them down, etc.
Anyways, I rode Norman and hubby rode Booty. I really can't tell you how great of a match him and Booty are - he just doesn't know it. She gave him NO trouble at all, where as the last time i rode her, she tried to buck on me and was a pill.
Norman was grumpy about his first time out, but he did pretty good. spooked at a few things, but otherwise he was great! After i hopped off, hubby hopped on Norman to take him for a spin with Booty loose in the pasture with them. Booty took off - bucking and running all over and Norman did excellent!!!
So all in all... GREAT 1st ride of the season! Hoping to get out at least one more time before my trip next week.
