My church Crosby Church (http://www.crosbychurch.com/) is taking part in Saddle up for St. Judes (http://www.stjude.org/stjude/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=66cc6f9523e70110VgnVCM1000001e 0215acRCRD&vgnextchannel=9685cba680be0110VgnVCM1000001e0215ac RCRD). It is a sponsored fundraiser and I need sponsors! The trail ride is November 1st and if you would like to sponsor me you can contact me through here or my e-mail jlw012061@aol.com. The trail ride is 10 miles.

I've always wanted to ride in one of those!!!! Is there a place where they are all listed? Good luck!! Wish I had extra funds to help sponsor you!! How does it work? Is it like the Susan G. Komen 3 Day where each participant has to have a certain amount of donations?

You don't have to have certain amount of donations that participate. You can click on the saddle up for st judes I embedded a link with it and they list a number for you to contact and maybe they can let you know where they are taking place. From what I understand you go and get the sponsors and before the trail ride you gather up the donations and bring it with you.....they gave me a packet to put the donation in.......I can't wait! They ask you get a minimum of 1 dollar per mile....they have all the info on their site

Good luck! It's been years since I've actually been on one of those rides. The last several years though, we've marked trail for them, or ridden sweep and picked the signs up.

Not a bad way to do it... We get to participate without ever dealing with the crowds :D

I went on a ride for St. Jude once, and it was lots of fun. I didn't get any sponsors -- I paid the fee myself. Just enough to get a sweatshirt. :)

I wish I could Liva. I didn't get to do that ride this year, but I went last year and the year before that and it was a hoot. Have fun!

I got alot of people to go along on the trailride but they all want me to ride their horses before! AHHHHHH Why can't people just keep their horses going instead of asking me to get them settled down before a ride? And you know what.......I can't say no........it's for a good cause so I am riding 4 horses daily till the 1st.......
