We headed out to the Arabian Horse Club of CT 37th Annual A horse show this week to try something new :) I've done hunters all my life and thought it would be fun since she is 1/2 arabian to try something new. I've been working with a trainer now for 2 months and although she wasn't as ready as we might have liked we went. She seemed to handle everything really well - she's never been to anything like that just un-rated schooling shows so we really threw alot at her. Her 1st time in the coliseum and the worst thing she did when some people came down from up in the bleachers was swap leads in back and them swap it back. I can't even begin to sum up how proud of her I am. Friday morning we tried our hand at HA Sport Horse in hand  it was fun we had some minor bobbles in our 1st one but got it together in the second class. I need to start jogging some if I'm going to keep doing them OY I was out of breath when I finished the trot part LOL we sure didn't practice a triangle that big at home. Next up where the under saddle classes - Here's the short version ;)
HA Sport Horse Maiden Horse ~ 1st out of 13
HA Sport Horse Open ~ 1st out of 10
HA Sport Horse Amateur ~ 2nd out of 13

We also did the Susan G Komen walk/trot/jog Breast Cancer Class - open to all seats even the canter croud :) it turned out to be so big they split it 3 ways - in the adult division we had 19 riders and placed 6th :)

in hand Fillies/Mares ~ 5th out of 5
in hand Amateur ~ 3rd out of 7

All in all it was just an awsome weekend she so surprised us all - now I'm not saying we don't have work to do but what an awsome begining. I don't have pictures of her but the professional proofs will be up tomorow WOO HOO. I did take a few pictures and put them in an album if you care to look :)
Cookies to all who read the novel ;)

Proofs are up :)

Thanks everyone!
Yes Bonnie she's all grown up, it's almost hard to believe :) They had another photographer doing the inhand classes which came out really well so I'm going to order them and the price is really right :) woo hoo

I figured it out if you click 16 times LOL she's the top center and top right - those are the best of her so I'll order those 2 for sure.
We are now qualified for the Region 16 Show in July and if I can I'll be there :) I'm not sure I could go to Sport Horse Nationals this year even if I wanted to unless I find a really cool and well paying job quickly but that's ok the trainer and I are thinking wait till next year when we can hopefully do both Sport Horse and Modified Hunter as well.
