I'm backkkk!!! pics!

Hey guys! I just came back from Congress and I had a blast! It was me, my mom and my friend Emily, who Ashley and I ride with, who went. We met some other people from the barn there, and we met some of Ashley's family there. It was soo much fun, I learned a lot and bought a ton of things! I'm soo excited, lol. I got a new show halter, with purply-pinkish gems on it, I got a new pair of Justin boots for showing, a ton of banding elastics, an english theraputic pad, draw reins, and a ton more. And we also went shopping at a mall and I got my semi-formal dress and some really cute boots that are kinda like UGGs.

Ashley (my BO) competed in the queen contest. She did a written test, an interview, a speech and a horsemanship pattern with rail work. So far, shes done really well. We won't know the results of the contest until later tonight, as the crowning ceremony is not until tonight, but we can definatly say that she is atleast in the top ten. So I'm pretty anxious to see how things go tonight.

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I'm still waiting to see how Ashley did, and I'm probly not going to find out until tomorrow now, seeing as how its so late right now, so when I find out I'll let y'all know!

Just a little update, I found out the results of the contest. Ashley didn't win queen, but she got 2nd in her speech. They asked her to come back for this one thing, not sure what it is exactly, so she will be coming home sometime this week. She is disapointed that she didn't do better, but shes really happy for the oppertunity to be able to participate in it, and be able to say that she rode at Congress. This was her first time at Congress and her first time competing in the queen competition, and for some of the other queens, it wasn't their first, so they ahd some advantage over Ashley. But over all, Ashley had a really good time and enjoyed being there.

I live here in Columbus, OHio and went to Congress on the Reining Competition and last Sunday. THis is my first year going to Congress...what an amazing exerience!
