What color? And where do you get it?

So Czar will be three next year and ready for some actual riding time and I had been thinking I might buy a dressage or all purpose saddle. I have ridden saddleseat all my life but Czar is really a dressage prospect and it would be cool to learn. I was at a tack auction a couple of weeks ago and they auctioned off this dressage saddle.. which I got for a steal at $35 bucks. Its not *great* quality or anything but its my size and I am just trying it out anyway no use spending a bunch of money. It seems to be nice leather though and it has all the fittings of a good made saddle. Here is a picture:

Anyway I want to pick up some things over the winter before show season next year so where do you all get all this lovely colored tack? I really want a matching saddle pad, polos, sport boots, fly bonnet, ect.. and what color should I choose for my Czar Czar?I really like turquoise and baby blue but can I find matching stuff? Other colors I was considering were purple or even pink? But I have to consider Czar in this.. he is a studly thing so pink might affect his manliness :innocent:. Here is a picture of him.. I have purple polos on him but what color would you choose?

I think the maroon you have on him is outstanding. I think it looks royal on him.

I agree with Vicklynn, I think that red looks fantastic on him. Really shows off and contrasts nicely with him. White would look awesome as well, but that's not real color LOL. Mint green would be pretty, any pastel would look really good.

My vote is for mint green! Its not too hard to find at all and it'd look both stunning and unique-- I never see anyone's horse dressed in mint green.

Holy smokes.....your horse is so gorgeous! He'd be beautiful in any color. I sort of like maroon tho. What breed is Czar? That actually looks like a nice saddle, it seems to have a nice deep seat, I used to ride dressage (basic) many years ago, it's so much fun, I miss it. Aha... I see that Czar is a Friesian sporthorse...no wonder he is a beauty, I love those Friesians!

cloedoll - I will def let you know when I decide.. thats very nice of you thanks! I am having such a hard time choosing.. I really love pink but I have a hard time justifying pink on a boy so I am leaning toward probably light blue.

remali - Thank You! Yeah Czar is a Friesian Sporthorse. He got the Friesians color along with their long thick curly mane and tail as well as that big floaty trot but he doesnt have as much feathering and his is leaner built but he is young so I am hoping he will fill out some more he still has a lot of growing to do. And I am actually very pleased with my saddle.. it is soft supple leather and I am yet to find anything I really dont like about it. It doesnt have a brand name anywhere that I can find but I think I got a pretty good buy anyway. My only problem with it is the leathers pinch my legs when I ride in shorts! :rolleyes: LOL

Look up by the pommel right under the leather. There should be a small mental plate right by where you connect the stirrup leathers. It looks like a County Saddle. They are very popular amount dressage folks. I had one awhile back and it was NICE. They don't make them anymore, so they are considered rare. I bought mine for $550 14 yrs old and sold it 3 yrs later for $500. I wish I could have kept it. :(

Czar is gorgeous! And luckily you can put any colour you want on him! Baloo's a bit harder to pick for. hehe.

I agree, pale blue or pale green would look really cool, IMO.

PRI dressage pads are cheap-ish and have a lot of colours. Moxie pads are amazing, my personal favourite, and have some interesting colours. equestriancollections.com has some great stuff.
