I came in my room just now to feed my pets and get ready for bed and found my Robo Dwarf Hamster laying next to her wheel. I tapped the cage and she didn't move.... I don't know what happened. I know hamsters never live long, but I haven't even had her a year. I got her in October to cheer me up when I was having a hard time. She's always been really active, running on her wheel constantly. She was fine yesterday, running around her cage, on and off the wheel, jumping everywhere. I was gone all day today and I feel bad. She ran out of food last night and I always wait till the next day to refill her bowl so she'll clean up her stashes around her cage (which she definitely always did). But now it makes me feel like I starved her to death or something, even though she looks like a little butterball laying there. I dunno, I hate when I lose an animal. I always feel responsible. Like if I'd come home sooner I would have noticed she wasn't feeling well... Although I don't know what I possibly would have done...

RIP Twinkie

Here's some pics of her from a few months ago. She was so tiny and adorable...

Those little critters are adorable but they never last long. I am glad you gave her a home and she helped you through a bad time. RIP Twinkie

Oh dang. It wasn't your fault - it's really hard with these little guys. Hang in there. She was sure a cute little thing.

I'll look forward to meeting her at the Rainbow Bridge. You were a good hamster mommy, Outriding.

Aww, those little guys don't live long enough!! It wasn't your fault!! Hamsters can go days without food so you certainly didn't starve her!! I'm so sorry for your loss, especially the suddenness of it!!
