I don't know if you all remember a puppy that my hubby found while on patrol one night and brought home? We found her a wonderful home with alot of acreage to run around on kids to play with and well unfortunately they had to move to an apartment and couldn't take Ruby. The family is my mom's BF's daughter and so they gave the pup to my mom who's plan is to put her on a chain and eventually at some point fence in her yard........you have to know my mom and then you would know that that would never happen. So here is this Mastiff cross over 100 pounds that is an inside dog chained outside in this humid heat:mad: So needless to say.....I am going to find the girl a home and hopefully with Steve's help get a home like she is used too.....GAHHHHHH I just want to shoot my mom! She is totally not a dog person and has allergies to them!!! Gave away my child hood dog cause she was old!!!! I might just have to take Ruby one day while they are gone to work.......:mad:

Here was ruby then: I don't have any now pics.....but I will get some tomorrow or Moday

Ruby is so cute...it is sad that she will be treated that way. Hope you find her another home fast.

Poor pup. Sounds like my dad and your mom would get along. He keeps chaining up my poor pooch to a tree without any water, which is totally STUPID because we have a compltely fenced in yard. So every half hour I have to go let her off the leash. Bah

Some people just shouldn't have pets. They are well intentioned but just can not carry through and give the amimal what it needs. Many think you just have to feed it and give it water and it will be okay. Unfortunately dogs need attention and time. as well as human contact. Ruby is lucky that you are aware of the problem and will help solve it before she has to pay the price.

Aww, that poor big girl needs to run! She can't live chained to a tree. Lucky she has you to go rescue her.

I cannot understand why someone would want a dog if they were only going to chain it out back. What an awful life, especially for a social animal like a dog.

She reminds me of our dog we used to have many years ago. Her name was Sophie. She was hit by a car and was killed:cry: Sophie was greyhound & black Lab mix but was a brindle just like your pup. I would take that dog in a heat beat if I lived closer. What kind is she?
