:) Alright so I know we all have a million. Things we've learned from our horses that we've applied to our lives. I have so many! So share them :) Maybe something your trainer said , or something your horse taught you. They teach us so much about life not just riding.
From Anna I've learned communication , that if you want someone to understand something your saying you have to present it confidently and kindly just like giving cues to your horse. So many of our problems came from me not communicating a cue clearly and even though Anna did exactly what I asked it wasn't what I wanted but that was my fault and I had to learn to admit that and fix what I was doing.
Also to take it slow.. respect progress and respect boundaries of how far a person or (horse) can go at that moment. And enjoy the moments! You can have goals but enjoy the leaps in between. If you get to hung up with your goal and thats all you can see then everyone gets flustered and you can't even realize how far you've come since you started.

lol - I was just thinking about this!
From my horses:
*Consistancy is a key learning tool; through your constant actions you are training, constantly. This can be good or bad....
*Don't be afraid to give just a little - the return is so often much greater!
*When a challenge arises, face it with confidence. If you get shaken (or...thrown...), dust yourself off (granted, that you can) & get back on! KEEP GOING!
I know there's more, but I'm having a block at the moment....*shrugs*

:hysterical: WB That was too funny!!!
I think one of the biggest things I have learned is patience. It will not come all at once, but if you are patient and willing to take it in litle steps, it will show up in the end. Usually when you least expect it.

To take things in stride, no pun intended. Not much shakes up Sarge.

Even those born with out wings, have the ability to fly (like superman) if you take things for granted or get to big of an ego.
She has taught be that the learning never stops.

The biggest and most important thing that I've learned from my horse is patience. I've also learned how to have confidence and how to sit back, relax and just simply enjoy life.

-I dont pee and walk. Just stop and relax.
-My way, or no way. Unless you feed me.
-Times are tough, but you've still got me.
-My life and my love; food and you.

I have learned at least one thing from every horse I have ridden. And I have learned countless things from Trouble, but the biggest thing would probably be trust and time. When I first got Trouble she was a mess...she didn't trust anyone and hardly let anyone touch her face. It took a lot of time to get her to trust me and that trust is almost unbreakable. Also she has taught me to ignore others comments. Trouble really is a one person horse and a lot of people get frustrated that she isn't that bush button pony...my BO's husband hates her...but I have learned to ignore his negative comments about her moodness and stubborness and say to myself "He is just jealous!"
