My goodbye trail ride with Inka

Today was the last time I am riding Inka, since she is going back to my friend and I am getting my 2 year old appy filly back. Its a bittersweet feeling, I love her, but I cant afford to fight her scratches and girth itch and rain rot and etc, etc...She doesnt do well in this climate, and I cant afford the upkeep on a horse that gets scratches every winter that I fight until the middle of summer!
ANYWAY! I had a great ride on her today- the people on facebook from here prolly already saw the pics LOL but here they are. I really never have any pics of me riding because Im always alone, so this is really cool. But Im a tub of lard, pics really dont lie a bit about the baby weight LOL.

Thats Elijah Bristow state park in Pleasant Hill. Its a tiny drive from Eugene/Springfield where I live.

Sorry you have to give up Inka, but you should be able to fill your time with your 2 year old. Any pics of the horse you are getting back?

The filly will be here tonight!! I will take pics (and hopefully get my USB cord to work) and get some up! Im excited to have a project, and will miss Inka. But I think this is going to be fun.

I hope you didn't stand on that drop off very long... it does not look comfortable :D. I always have a phobia about going down things like that... would always rather go up them than down.

Probably a bittersweet last ride... But it sounds like a positive change for both of ya. I hope so.
