My best friend from high school informed me today her father is going in for surgery on Thursday. He has prostate cancer. :(
thankfully it was caught in the very early stages so they have high hopes he will recover just fine after the surgery.

His name is Tony and he is a small animal vet back in CT. He is a sweetheart of a man, very funny and extremely supportive of both his children and wife. I spent partically my whole high school life at their house and I am referred as their adopted daughter. :D

Please send positive thoughts Tony's way on Thurdays. I wish I could be there for my friend but she knows I am giving her mental hugs every day.
I will be sending a card out there this week to wish them luck and love.

Thanks everyone.
I spoke with my friend today and she is a bundle of nerves right now. She moved home from NYC and but her dream of singing on broadway on hold for now. Her brother is flying home from Vegas tomorrow so they can all be together. I wish I could be there with them as Tony is a great great man.

Tony went in a 6am Eastern time for his surgery. I will bethinking about him all day sending good healing thoughts his way.
I appreciate it very much that you all are sending him prayers and happy thoughts. Thank you.
and his daughter, whom I talked to yesterday and told her about htis forum thanks you!

I did get a brief moment to talk to Tony when I was on the phone with his daughter, he was in good spirits and teasing his daughter and his "adopted daughter" (me) as is his usual fashion. :D

I hope all goes well for Tony today, he will be in my prayer for sure. My father had prostate cancer, but they caught it early and he was OK. Praying Tony will have a good recovery. Let us know how is doing when you can.

Tony came out of his surgery fine. He is doing very well and was sent home last night.
His daughter was in good spirits when I talked to her yesterday. The docters are very optimistic about this surgery! :D

Great news, I was thinking about you today and wondering if you had posted an update since his surgery. Glad he is doing so well!
