I feel like I have failed him...

Once again without being notified per the agreement, Java, my old TB was moved without my knowledge... apparently.

I am hoping to hear back from the family that adopted him, but I was told he is now at a rescue in Maine. :mad: Is a phone call or a text message so hard? Both his adopted families KNEW that I was NOT a hands off former owner... all I asked was a polite little something to say, hey we can't keep him anymore, he is at a rescue now.

I know many of you are saying.. hey, you sold him... it's not your problem...but it is! I was told that I would be informed of his wear abouts. I was told that if he passed away I would get a phone call or a text message at least.

Grated I am waiting to hear back from his "owner" before I completely lose it but I regret everyday giving him up and keeping Gracie. EVERYDAY! I wish it was him in the back yard and not Grace. I truely do. As much as I love Gracie.. Java is my baby and I just want to know he is okay.

I just don't know WHY people have to lie.
I had an asthma attack this week and this stress is last thing I need. *sigh*
I am reserving judgement until I hear from the family that had him.

I just need to vent.

It isn't you that has failed him it is the owner that released him to a rescue. If you can find out what rescue has him they should be able to tell you what the story is I would hope. Maybe you could sponsor him if you cannot take him back. I wish you luck in finding out the truth. try not to be so hard on yourself.

TT- I don't thats what I am trying to find out. I did get a hold of a friend of theirs and she said a family member of theirs passed away a few days ago so I'll wait a day or two out of respect to try and reach them again.

So it's a waiting game. Apparently if they did send him to the rescue they broke the contract with the girl that I gave him to. as she has rights to first refusal. I really don't want to make this into a big thing again like it was last time. I just want to know where he is and that he is ok.

Did you have a contract stating that they had to tell you where he was? If it was verbal, they didint have to tell you.

they have a contract with the woman that adopted him from me.. a signed and actually notarized contract. With me it was just a promise... so yea.. I'm just annoyed with the broke promise considering it was my influence that got them the horse. But they never contacted the woman in which they are in contract with if they did in fact move him.

I know I have no legal say over him... I just want to know where he is.. and if he dies I'd like to know. It's not that much to ask.. it's really not.

nothing so far. I have emailed the rescues in Maine.. those that have replied do not have him. I am emailing New England Equine Rescue as not my rescues go by with them knowing.

The woman that was in contract with Java's caretakers is also trying to reach them via her mother (friends with java's owner) I also have friends that have contacts at the barn he was at that are going to look into it.

My fear is that he went to auction and to canada. That is the only reason I can think of to hide his where abouts. So I am hoping and praying for the best but preparing myself to accept he is gone. If he went to auction I wish I would have known because I know many people that would have went and got him to save him from that fate.

So please send good vibes his way in hope I find him and he is infact safe as I truely hope he is.

Aww I'm sending good vibes that he's safe. I'm sorry you have to go thru this. The worst is just not knowing. So I hope you get GOOD news very soon.
