White horse, costume class ideas

A local riding club is having their shows at the local fairgrounds this year. One of their classes is a costume class. I have been thinking about riding Whip in this. I do have a western frontierman's type leather smock with fringe on it, but thats it. I could probably come up with a headdress or feather and call him an Indian pony.

What do you use to paint your horse? Food coloring? I know Cloedoll used pink on her horse...

Other than an Indian or a Lipizzan horse and rider costume, what could we do? I have some patterns for the war horse blanket but I don't think I'd have the time to sew it right now but it is a thought. I can sew some.

You could dress up as a fairy and you could put a unicorn horn on him and braid glitter ribbon into his main and tail :) lolol. I would so do that.

hmm, I don't know what kind of paint you would use for the war pony thing..:huh: maybe just water washable children's face/finger paint? You could paint circles around his eyes and handprints and stuff like that. And braid feathers into his mane. That would be neat.:)

Or, since he's white, you could paint black stripes on him and say he's a zebra!:p Not sure what your costume could be though...

Or maybe a unicorn and princess? Unicorns are white, not sure how you'd make the horn though...

A fairy...hmm... Peter pan? What do fairies look like? That wouldn't take a lot of props on the horse side of it but I don't think I am fairy like. Definitely not a pixie anyway! I was also wondering about a clown, since I know how to make animal balloons.

Re - Zebra, I would just dress as the Crocodile man or safari type person. But he's a really BIG horse to add stripes to! Kepp 'em coming!

My daughter buys this spray in haircolor crap, and we used it on a horse to paint a flag for a parade and it washed right out, hope that helps........Kevin

I did Solon up as a zebra for Halloween. You just have to use the spray hair stuff. Sometimes it takes awhile for it to get off their coat. I've seen a white horse painted up as a panda bear and the rider was a safari guy. That one looked pretty cool.

You could do the Knight in shining armor on the mighty white steed. You could do the Indian Pony. You could do a s'more - horse would be the marshmallow and the rider would be the cookie.
