omg
the last few days with Bella have been great :D
i gave her friday and satrday off as she had a bowen therapy treatment on the friday so she had to have saturday off, plus i was at a show alll day which was tiring.
So come sunday i have a lesson booked but planned to poo pick before hand so i went into her field and i think she missed me/coming in :p
she walked up to me in the field! said hi then continued to walk to the gate without me so i walked with her and started to run and she trotted along next to me :D
thennnnnnn
i brung her in perfectly and turned her out in the field next to the school/then put her in stable when george went abit funny in his stable. Poo picked etc then tacked her up. She looked soo happy to have that tack on :D:p
We lunged her first as always before i ride her but did a little less than normal because it was hot [for england :p]. So on i hopped and we did lots of trotting work and walking work and getting my position correct to encourage her to work abit better -shes not on the bit etc yet but we are working on rythm and balance for now then work on the finer points later when the foudations are in place :). My RI then put out some trotting poles and we did them on her best rein perfectly then i asked her to do them on the right and she was all like :nono: i would like to go to the gate please and i was like :nono:no you are going over the poles and she did as she was told :D very well aswell :D 2 months ago the slightest thing like that would have sent me into a quivering mess, because she was doing a little rocking horse impression. bujt yes she did it and we even conquered a canter on her bad rein and THEN we did a jump only tiny but none the less a JUMP :D
ended it there after doing it twice :).
Then i gave her a bath which she thoughly enjoyed as did i and it was great we had a fab bonding time :)!
then today, i walked her down to the school, and just got on her, no lunging :D
and i had no-one IN the school with me [tara was outside but thats not the point] i've not ridden her without someone in the school for ages!! big confidence leap did alot of walking to start with then ALOT of trotting work on both reins and she was fab and then we did some cantering she was actually alot better on her bad rein and we got 2 full laps of the school in a fab canter :D the only thing that could be faulted on today was she had ONE TINY nap at the gate and that was it :D.:happydance::banana::clap:
so yes
veryveryveryveryvery
pleased :D:D:D
sorry self indulgent thread but had to get it out :D
