I took a fall drive the other day while my son was in mothers day out and took some shots of our area in it's fall 'splendor'. It's not what is typically thought of as fall but it's what it looks like around here. I thought it would be fun to see what it looks like in all of your neck of the woods as well!!! So if you have a photo of what fall looks like where you are post it and if you don't, go take one!!!!!

Hay fields in the morning. Raked and ready to roll!
So that's north Texas. Our trees will change a bit more but not much.

You take such amazing pictures, Equine_Woman! Your area is real pretty. Leaves are falling, but that's it really, whenever it seems more Autumn-ish out, I'll get pics. :)

The peak of the Autumn colors are already past here, now the leaves are mostly yellow. We're possibly having a rain/snow mix sometime later this week, which I'm totally bummed out about. I'm not ready for winter!

Beautiful photos! Our trees are starting to change now. It seems sort of early but maybe not. The deer are starting to herd up. We had some snow the other day, it didn't stick but it was snow. It's 41 degrees right now at 7 a.m.. It's also still dark out like night, I don't like getting up in the dark!!!
I think I have fall photos on my other computer I'll see if I can send some to this one. The real nice ones I had are on the computer that croaked. The pictures were backed up but my man never put them into this one. I'll have to remind him again for the 100th time!

Those are great pictures EW, you always take such great ones. Thanks for sharing. :)
Fall's what my hometown is famous for (well... that and gold :p). Unfortunately... it's not fall here yet (a bit less than it is in your area :D), but the trees should start turning soon. They usually really start turning the weekend of Gold Rush... but it doesn't look really gorgeous until November.
This is from a couple of years ago:

Beautiful pics equine!!!! Fall is my favorite time of year..Especially here in Georgia. We don't really get much of a Spring..Summers just start and are hot and humid..Winters are cold and everything is all dead...But Fall always puts me in such a good mood.
ALOK...ha ha...I was asking in the morning thread , how are things looking up there in the hills. Very pretty!!!! I love it up there. I loved driving there when my daughter was attending your very same college!!!

Her in SE MN we get some of the best falls colors around. They are just starting now. I can't take a picture like EW does but I'll see what I can do when the colors really get going. As I sit here at my desk I look out over my pasture to a hillside that has mostly birch and oak tress on it. The yellow leaves are starting and the reds and oranges will be coming soon. The leaves on the maple trees in the yard are starting to fall on my truck and trailer right outside my window too!

Heh... I am NOT in an area known for fall color.
Most of our trees are evergreens, so they don't change much, and of the trees that do change, most are alders that just turn a rather sickly wet brown color and aren't exactly pretty when they do change! But I do have a couple big maples on the property that can give me some nice oranges and yellows in the fall.
Right now my fall looks like mud puddles.

Here in the Northern California foothills we just had a good rain storm, so the trees are washed clean and the dust settled. The trees that turn are mostly golds and all shades of brown with a sprinkling of reds...nothing like the beautiful fall colors I remember in my home state of Pennsylvania! We have lots of evergreen type trees here also.
