Caught these pics last night of some squirrels having fun near the feeder.

Ah- A thread I can put this on! Here's one of my guys this morning... he's not sure what to make of the cherries I put up there... but I think the crows and jays will take them. :)
We also had a deer this morning, in the woods out back. But she came out kindof blurry...

So cute! That is what I miss about living in Oregon, the wildlife! You just don't see squirrels and deer wandering through your backyard in Las Vegas. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

I could get pics of them all day, then drive myself nuts trying to sort which ones to keep, lol! They can keep a person entertained indefinitely!

Wow! Neat pics, WB! Our squirrels and deer are just a little different from yours. Neat to see different kinds.

The Red Faction of squirrels are highly trained machines. Thankfully we do not have them here. Their Ninja skills are widely known.

Yep. I'd even say they have 'em here! My dad was out mowing the lawn several years back and there was a squirrel up in the tree above him. He said he saw the squirrel and that it looked like he was watching him. All of a sudden, he said a green pine cone hit him square on top of the head and he looked up and it looked like the squirrel was laughing at him lol.
He went inside and grabbed his shotgun and blew the poor lil fella's head off.

Those are the lookouts.
I haven't seen my group of squirrels at Kress Lake lately. I don't know where they went off too. I miss them throwing sticks down at me when I walked under their tree. :(

:hysterical: They leap from the trees and onto the roof, go pounding across, and go down a tree on the other side to get from feeder to feeder!

I still have some red ones, too, but they've been staying on the other side of the yard this year- going to have to sneak up on them and get some pics.

There is this one park in Eau Claire and it has the neatest squirrels....quite a few of them are black, and there are also the white ones..... I like to go there and stalk them with my camera....lol. People in the park probably think I'm nuts when I sneak up on the squirrels, and hide behind trees to get photos!

I love the pictures! And I love the squirrels!
I don't have a pretty nature pictures, but I do have pictures of Bob.
I released him once he grew up. I still miss him. :)
He is sitting in my pocked eating a grape:

Petra, he's really cute! And yes, the links worked.
Doesn't he ever come around to visit you?
Petra

I think he would have. I wanted to release him just out in our yard, but he was scared of our dogs and came right back in. So I took him to the lake. I ducktaped his box he used to sleep in to the tree and left him there. I thought he was much safer there in thick bushes with other squirrels than in town where he could get caught by dogs, cats or hit by a car.
I have never seen him again.
Besides we moved since than...we don't even go to that lake any more.

You're right, Rayenn, that's what makes squirrels so cute- their fluffy tails, lol! The bigger and fluffier, the better!

All these pictures are so cute :) I never knew there were different types/colors of squirrels!
I went to visit my brother at college once, and he told me that people hand-fed the squirrels there so much that they let you touch them. I didn't believe him, but sure enough.... One of them let me walk right up to it and touch it! I poked it, and it jumped about three feet in the air and scurried away :p
I want a pet one...

My neighbor has a pet squirrel named David. One of my cousins rescued a baby squirrel a long time ago and named it Earl lol. It got sick and died though. :(

I think squirrels are pretty easy to tame.
It seems like each batch that is born out here gets a little friendlier.
