One of the members, from another forum that I know, is going to put a couple weeks on both horses.
She boards about 5 minutes from where I live and Ive seen her ride.
She shows, trains, and gives lessons.
I will board out the horses during this time.
I cant wait.
I will get pics when it happens.
I cant wait to get in the saddle again.
Both are very fresh from not being riden since last fall.

Hope everything works out for ya.

(don't take this the wrong way, but I've seen you work with your horses and it looks like you do a great job with them. I'm a little puzzled by sending them to a trainer)

Agreed with Gaited! You sound/look like ya know what you're doing already. :D

But the best of luck to everyone. I guess I'm lucky to have horses that you can let sit for a year and get on and they'll be the same. :p That excludes Raen and Lyric.

You are great with your horses, their training and solving any problems they have. Did something happen that you feel more comfortable boarding them out and having someone else work with them?

Great that you have the opportunity to get a tuneup on both of your horses. Any special reason why you're not doing it yourself, though?

Thank you for your concerns!! That is very sweet!!
Due to my back issues, and the horses being down since last Sep/Oct, they are a bit hot.
I can not afford to get on a hot horse right now.
City is normally a go go horse, and that is not an issue for me, but he is go go, smart, and easy to handle.
Hot is not good for me though. I need to make sure he is not going to buck with me on him like he does the saddle. I will be working them in the round pen with saddles before they go.
Myst, well, I took that girl for a walk the other day and I swear I owned an Arab, head and tail all cocked...lol. As mellow as she normally is, she needs a better rider on her than I for the moment.
The girl I know, and I, will also trailer out to trails. Get Mysts head back where she needs it.
Myst has to be a husband horse, and I will not let the husband on her right now. If I wont get on, he sure the heck isnt going to get on her.
They both may just fine, but I cant take the chance, I mess my back/hips up enough without the horses messing them up for me.
Hope that helps answer any questions. If not, feel free to ask more:)

A tuneup sounds like a good choice. Have fun getting back in the saddle!

Good choice Vick! I don't blame you for wanting to keep yourself safe. You're smarter than me... LOL

Keep us up to date how it goes.

Thanks for the update....we were getting concerned. Smart to take care of yourself.

Didn't realize you haven't gottten to ride here lately. Sounds like a tune up is a great idea--we just don't bounce like we used to!

Myst sounds like Chic. Chic often carries herself like an Arab (you'll have to look through my pics!) and she is hotter than Sony--often has moments where I can feel that she wants to GO! Sony has become my main horse this year (do I need to change my name???) and my daughter or her friend rides Chic.

Take care --I am looking forward to updates!

Sorry Vicklynn,
I did not know about your back. Good choice on sending the kids to de-funk instead of possibly (God forbid) getting hurt and not being able to ride for a while.
Looking forward to future updates and pics:)
