On my profile is a picture of our whole crew as of two years ago:

We'd love to say we took this in one shot.... But we didn't. :p Some have seen this before, but we actually took it as three separate groups... One of us with the horses, one of the dogs, and one of the cats (we were crouching behind the log holding the cats) Put the camera on a tripod so it doesn't move. Hubby combined all the shots into one in Photoshop. :)

There were many many outtakes ;)
For a final touch for our Christmas card, I drew little hats on everyone. :)

Here are a few from prior years, with the pets we had at those times... the group keeps getting bigger!

wow! that is really cool! :) I would never guess it's photoshopped! :) I really love that pic!
Aha I remember you saying once that is was photoshopped but its cool to see all the effort that went into it.
Its a great picture, I love the pics from previous years also.

Wow! That's really neat how that works!
Only trouble is, now I'm going to have to find some photoshop software so I can try some fun things like that!

Try checking out Paint.net It is a free software that does a lot of things Photoshop does without having to pay hundreds of $$$.
I love how the group photo turned out! I wondered if it was PS'ed, or maybe you just have perfect timing, lol!!

That is really cool, WB.:)
I think this has been asked before (sorry if it has, but I don't remember the answer :o), but why is there an extra little santa hat in the tree off to the right of the pic?

AWESOME! Thanks WB. LOL now I have a few months to figure out photoshop before Christmas card time.
I see the need for a tripod so you can get the same exact background shot every time. On the thumbnail #2 where WBoy is off to the right holding the dog leash...I'm assuming he is photoshopped 'out' for the final. So you can take something out and show the background behind it? I have not worked with photo editing programs so this is fascinating to me.

That was in memory of our big orange tomcat, who we'd lost that year. :)

I layered all four exposures on top of each other, with the horse shot on the bottom layer. For the upper layers, rather than mask stuff out, I actually masked out the entire layer, then carefully un-masked the critters, basically photoshopping them back 'in'.

Get everyone/animal lined-up....run to the camera...set timer.....run back into shot and hold with smile.....run back to camera......etc.....;)
