I can't remember if we've done this before, but there have been many new kittens and cats added to our forumers' families, so I thought it would be neat if everyone put up pics of their kitties
If you like, you can tell a little something about each cat, but the main thing is I would like to see pics of everyone's kitties!
So post away!
This is Sabrina. She's the oldest at ten, and is a picky eater, and the most aloof of my cats. She loves shaved turkey lunch meat as a treat, and will eat a whole slice if you let her!

The Tasmanian Devil a.k.a. Taz, never walks when she can run, loves to watch tv-especially Scooby Doo, and has a bad habit of eating too fast, lol! She's nine.

Then there's Junior, also known as Fuzzball, or The Fuzz. He'll be three in September. He likes to sleep with his head tucked underneath my chin at night, though not as much now as when he was a kitten. He's pretty laid back, and enjoys just being around his person- me!:)

And last, but not least, there's Trixie. She turned two this spring. She's the cuddle bunny of the bunch, and half the time, is on my lap while I'm on the computer. The rest of the time when she's not sleeping, is spent following me around outside or in the house.

Beautiful cats. I especially like Trixie!!
Kitty Kitty Meow Meow, aka Angle at the vets office.
Her name goes back to being a stray baby, maybe 5 weeks old. Her and I talked ALOT, so Meow is her nick name. The name at the vets, Angel, comes from me almost killing her with cat drops. Ill never use those again. She is my cat but lets others pet her. She sleeps above my head or on my chest. She paws out while on my chest for attention, no matter if she gets my chin or mouth..lol...she used to bat my eyelashes when she was a kitten, while I was asleep...LOL
Meow is 5 yrs old.

Baby Kitty is different. I have never had a cat that was "typical" ya know, the ones that know where they live, know where they can get loves from, rub your leg but DONT touch them. I think she had a stroke at one point in her life, or Shyly over played her and hurt her. She is fine now, just standoffish.
Due to her long hair, she gets shaved in the summer(need to do it again). Baby Kitty is a rescue from the Dog Motel I work at. Baby is 3 I think.
Baby as a kitten
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a155/vicklynn/100_0254.jpg
She still sleeps on the bed during the day.
All grown up now.
There is food inside that door...LOL
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a155/vicklynn/100_0543.jpg
Baby jumps Meow just to tick her off, she is only playing.
Both cats get along with the dogs just great!!

Your kitties are cute, Vicky! That pic of baby is priceless!
Trixie does the same thing to me with her paws, too. Never claws- good thing, too, or I'd have scratches all over my face, lol!

Izzy. She's about three years old. Found her about two years ago on my road. She belonged to my neighbors who went through about 10 cats in the 6 years that we lived in PA. Returned her the first time I found her but the second time she surprised me with two kittens. So I found the kittens homes, fixed mom and kept her for myself!
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b137/Unlimitedears/kitties/SmilingIzzy.jpg
Chloe. She's about a year old. My sister's BF found her at one of his construction sites. I took her in with plans of rehoming her but 6 months later and she's still her.

I have a lot of cats now, but fewer than I did this time last year when my whole raison d'etre was them kittens!
This is Tweek and Pippin... I got them when they were kittens. They are brother and sister. Tweek is a floozy and a tramp, with a big feather boa for a tail. Pippin is a crab who has been complaining ever since the other kittens arrived a year ago...
http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=59&pictureid=408
This is Wicket... the one of the feral batches we decided to keep... and who is absolutely the sweetest, most fearless cuddle cat I have ever known. We're afraid to let her out loose, because she's not afraid of anything, and I fear she'll go to the little stor next door and just go home with someone!
She was raised by Gidget, our surrogate feral kitten mom.
http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=59&pictureid=2056
http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=59&pictureid=2015
And this is Peanut and Jack... the feral kittens we did not manage to trap till they were older. They're still very feral really... While Peanut and I have a fairly friendly routine where I can pet her on her terms... I can't exactly pick her up. Jack, I can pet and touch even less often. They still live with us in the house and out in the catitat, but I'm unsure what to do with them for the long term. I hate to keep them cooped up, but I fear if I let them go out, I'll never see them again.

I didn't realize Tweek and Pippin were brother and sister- wow!
To this day, I still love the pic of Gidget cleaning Wicket- it's so cute.
That's a neat pic of Jack and Peanut. Probably one of the few you'll ever get with that kitty on his back, lol! It's a bummer that they haven't acclimated more to domesticated life. I was hoping they'd both end up like Wicket.

Peanut still has some hope... she and I have this routine... early in the morning, before hubby is up... we have our 'couch time' where she wants to be scratched. And she is greedy and needy about it at that time. She writhes all over and purrs... but that's the only time and place I can pet her... it's really strange.
Jack I can sidle in and pet sometimes if he's curled up with Wicket, and I pet Wicket first. Then I can sneak over and pet him. Once get him over his initial flight reflex and pet him, I'm surprised and how hard he likes to be scratched... right down his back. He'll purr and salivate... he slobbers a stream... but again... other times if I try to approach either of them, they get spooked.

these were our first two cats. The grey one is Jazzman, she is mine. She is old now, and has issues keeping down food and is very skinny. we probably wont have her much longer. The black and white one was Jessica, we lost her a couple years ago due to Kidney failure.

It's very 'place' oriented... They are fairly at ease with being in the same room with us, and passing close by in the house, but they get really freaked out still if they are outside in the catitat and I go out there... they run back in the house. I'm hoping to work on that, and when they aren't afraid of me seeing them outside, maybe I'll open that gate and let them come and go from the house that way, in through the doggie door. Maybe. I'm nervous about it.

I think I posted these before but I don't have any newer ones in Photobucket and don't know how to put them in right from my files. We have 3 kitties, Jackson who is the cuddly one, Bo who enjoys being held but she loves my man best and Molly who likes to cuddle at 3 a.m.! They are all great cats. I should put some of the newer ones in photobucket but it's so hard seeing Noah's pictures there. He was such a beautiful boy and I miss him so much it hurts. I cry every day.
Everyone has such cute kitties! I have always wanted a fuzzy tuxedo cat but have never gotten one, the others needed me more.

They say Thank You! I know Molly & Junior can be from the same litter, she's lacking the white but they look so similar otherwise. She's a little rip, she tries to get the puppy to chase her and when she does then she hisses and smacks at her! I don't like the chasing so I try to stop it but nobody ever listens to me!

lOursarge, is Molly part or full Maine Coon, by any chance?
When Molly was listed on PetFinders she was listed under both Maine Coon and Norwegian Forest Cat, she sort of has the traits of both, her back legs are longer than the front like a Norwegian, her head is shaped more like a Norwegian but yet she has some MC traits. She's from a Feral Cat Colony, she was trapped there so we really don't know anything about her parents or anything. It's funny I have a book about Maine Coon Cats and there is a cat in there that looks so much like Molly....thing is it's a Norwegian! I'm not sure why they are feauturing a Norwegian in a MC book but it looks like Molly except for the eyes, hers are semi oval not a true oval like a Norwegian.
Jack's mostly Norwegian, his eyes are oval and right now he's got a huge ruff and big tail and his hair is getting longer all the time, he was also a stray found wandering the streets of Jersey City, someone picked him up and put him in a kill shelter where the rescue got him, they placed him, the lady sent him back because he didn't play enough and that's where I found him and as soon as I saw his picture and read how he's not aggressive and is real laid back I knew he was the right cat for our late cat Misty who was a Norwegian. He is so sweet, he loves to cuddle.
I actually thing Bo has a tiny bit of MC in her, she's sort of a mystery what she is mixed with but she's a cutie and a good girl, she's the friendliest cat, she'll go to anyone and is just happy about everything. We got her from a kill shelter, I can't believe her former owners would put such a beautiful and great cat in a kill shelter because their kid was allergic. Find a home or a rescue but not a kill shelter. We were lucky to get her and I held her all the way home, she didn't even need a crate she just cuddled!
Thanks Vicklynn. They are all my babies.

I think it's not easy to tell the difference between the Maine Coon and the Norwegian unless you know what you'e doing, which I don't, lol!
Seems like they're not only similar in looks but in personality, as well.
Now you have me questioning whether they're wrong at the vet clinic, and he's part Norwegian instead.
Maybe I'd better measure Junior's legs, lol!
Doesn't really matter- I love him no matter what he is.
I think it's cool how you got all your cats, Oursarge.

I used to have an article with the differences between Norwegians and Maine Coons. I think MCs are bigger, I know the eyes of Norwegian's are oval and I know about the back legs being longer and I think the Norwegian's face is more triangular. They are pretty similar though. It's hard to tell with Molly but with Jack there is no doubt he has Norwegian in him. I'd like to smack the woman who gave him back saying he didn't play, he plays fine, he probably just didn't like her cat or something, [Her loss was my gain so I'm glad she gave him up for me but it hurt him to be moved yet again] he was traumatized with all those homes in a short time. He was 8 months old when we got him. He got a kitty cold right away so I spent days and days rocking him. We had to take him to the vet and he stiffened up when I put him in the crate, poor baby was so scared we were giving him away. When we got back home I took him out of the crate and he sighed and settled so we could rock, it was heartbreaking, he was so used to being thrown away he thought I'd do it to him too. I told him never. It took 3 yrs before he'd not run when someone came to the house, now he comes out to check out who is here. Bo never runs and Molly is sort of getting used to my parents but she is the most cautious of all but yet she was the first one to get near the puppy and wants to be chased.
I found all of them on PetFinders. I am allergic to short haired cats and our shelter only had short haired ones when we were looking for Jack and Bo. When we were looking for Molly our shelter had 3 long haired ones and every one got adopted before we were able to get them so I guess Molly was the one who was meant to be here. She fits right in and her foster mother and I are now friends so it has worked out for everyone!
Everyone has such cute kitties!

After probably 10 years or more without a cat, adopted a kitty tonight.
For the moment, his name is Astana (yes, a he). I am a big fan of the Tour de France, which is now in the first week, and this is the best team out there. He is some type of siamese cross, his two siblings were beautiful dark tigers, and apx 10 weeks old. Was looking for a teenager, but it is baby time at the shelter.

I would love to see more pics of Astana as he grows.
