Well, my hubby's folks have gone on home, it's been a week of visiting and trying to keep them entertained...

Did I miss anything here? We were able to look in once in awhile and make sure the place wasn't on fire or anything, but we didn't have a lot of time to actually keep up with the news. :cowboy:

Tbh I don't really know since I've barely been on :) been busy with a school musical production! Which reminds me...I should really post pics of me singing...
In-laws from hell? Or just very hard work? :P
One last day of music to go, and tomorrow I'm hunting limpets for a Biology project on the local beach! :D I love A2 Biology...

Oh no - they're really nice people, just a little nerve-wracking for me, because they are not like me or all that 'familiar' because they live in Arizona, and even though hubby and I have been married 5 years, we've only met in a few relatively short visits.

Most notably, they don't know I smoke. I set it up that way when we first met... smoking is such a social disease now and I know they don't, so I didn't smoke around them. Well, now it's just gone on that way, and me, a 40 year old woman, is sneaking off to smoke behind the barn like I haven't done since I was 17. ;)

But I chuckle, because hubby does things now that his mother just doesn't recognize or understand from her sweet mild boy... Talking about guns and knives and redneck things. :D She gets so horrified to hear him talk this way, and she can only think these influences must have come from my family. :D

I'm late getting here, butoh, well!

Didn't have too bad of a day- I managed to get another ride in. That's always a good day.

Been there, done that on the smoking thing, WB,, though no matter who I've been with over the years, it's always been my family that has the problem with it, lol! Did a lot of sneaking off myself.

Kitty- sounds like you've been really busy!

Badlands- at least you have a happy reason to be sore- you were riding Dena!

It is nice to have people visit but sometimes nicer to get things back to normal. You don't realize how much you enjoy your quiet until it is not there.

LOL... I did that YEARS ago when my Nana came to visit from Washington. Had to hide in the bathroom or in the shed. :hysterical: Now I don't care. I do enjoy smoking. It's my choice and though I won't smoke in somebody elses house, I do smoke in my own. If I have company, I will ask them if they mind, because I do know it stinks. One of these days I will quit, but on my terms! :)

I'm back from the craziest vacation ever... kinda. :D That's pretty much all the interesting news that you might've missed that I've got. Glad you had a nice visit with the in-laws!

Hey all. Long time no talk. I'm off this morning because I have to work this evening for our regularly scheduled network maintenance. Going in at noon so I felt I would get on here real quick before heading out to the shed. I now officially have one month of work left until I can say I'm retired from the Air Force. Still looking for a new job and have a couple of possibilities lined up but most everyone I've interviewed with has told me I'm too early. Oh well, something will come along soon.

I'm probably going to bring Lou back in the late fall now since I still have some bill issues to work out. I've sorely missed her especially when I watch the kids at their lessons. Oh well. Hope you all take care of yourselves.
