If Shy cant control it, shes not sure how to deal with it.

Tex and Shyla are up for baths next. Ill do them at home, dont need to blow them out.

Lady looks beautiful after her bath.

That Tex- what a camera hog! Just gotta be the center of attention, doesn't he!

And at the opposite end of the specturm is Shyla. I can just see it-she was only putting up with pics because you asked her to. It's like, "Not this again! Sheesh!"

Thanks, Lady is a sweet girl. Her eyes are irritated after her bath today, not sure if it was the shampoo or doggy cologne.

Tex, ya, he is always in the middle of things..LOL

Shyla has NO use for cameras...LOL

Ya, I know.

Lady(Collie) was bought to help with Ruffus' last yrs, and to be my husbands truck dog. The truck dog part did not work out as she was sickly when we bought her. With all my care for her as a small pup she became my dog and didnt like the truck(unless it was mine...lol)

Shyla,(Ridgeback/Shep) well, I hated her living conditions. A 6 month pup, living in a town home, on a harness outside in this heat we have, no water, no food, no treats or chews(yes, I took care of that daily so she wouldnt suffer).
Her owner complained that she would always eat her babys shoes. Well duh, shes still teething, give her a rawhide or something. Water might be nice too, ya think.
I begged for Princess(ya that was her name, ugh)and finally got her right before we moved here out of the town homes.

Gizzy(Blue Heeler) was purchased special for Bob, he is a great truck dog and companion for Bob.

Tex,(mini schnauzer) well, you know the story there. How could one not love that lil man.

I'll bet! I'm also betting she's really family oriented- your family, that is, lol!

Ridgebacks are wonderful dogs, but you don't want to be a stranger invading their turf without permission, lol!

Right, she is very dependant, and very sweet, but Ive seen her pissed at a human, and Ive seen her kill a racoon, and it aint pretty.

I don't have time tonight, but one of these days I'll clue you in why I know at least a little bit about Ridgebacks, and why you tread lightly around them, lol! Best dogs in the world, though! Just make sure they recognise you if they know you, lol!

LOL. The good think about Shyla is, you can walk in the road, she will come barking up to you, yet she is looking for a love. DONT come in my house though, unless she knows you or have been invited, then she will mall you will loves.

That's exactly what I was talking about.

When I was a teenager, the neighbors had Kenya, a purebred ridgeback.

I was over to visit all the time, and she loved me to death. It got to the point where I could knock, holler so she knew who I was, and enter the house.

One day, though, no one was on the main level of the house when I showed up. I did the usual- knocked, hollered, then started to open the door. Next thing I knew, Kenya was right there, starting to leap through the opening.

I hollered, "Kenya, down!", and thank the Lord she realized who it was. Best guard dogs in the world, yet also very affectionate.

Love that pic of all three of them playing.
