A cowkiller ant just tried to attack me while I was innocently getting out of my truck. I tried to squash it, but it scooted out of the way and stung my flip-flop! And now it's hiding under my tire! :help:

The conversation between myself and the ant went something like this:
Me: *looks down* "Oh dear Lord."
Ant: "Oh no you didn't!"
Me: "You need to die now." *fails to kill Ant*
Ant: "No - you need to die!" *fails to kill me*
Both: "Runaway!"

Here's a link to a picture of a cow killer ant (http://furryadventures.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/cow_killer.jpg), incase you don't know what I'm talking about. They're actually wasps, but they look and move like ants. I'd never seen one in person before... and they're terrifying. On the bright side, they do kill bees.

Sorry, I didn't manage to get pictures of this one. And, just for those of you counting reasons not to get out of your car in Georgia, my Nana and Papa killed a water moccasin two days ago.

Eeek! Way too scary! I guess I wouldn't want to come down there and visit, then. Unless there's some safe places to be!

I realized I forgot to mention that they're usually an inch long... and this one was no exception. Which, I suppose, really adds to the terror index. :D

Gypsy - I think that there are some safe places... they're just not around here.

Holy cow. I live in Georgia, never seen one. I don't think I'll ever go outside again if I do. 0.0

Haha FSA, I talk to everything. My half of the conversation actually happened... so I make up the other half. I am aware that the ant didn't actually talk back. :D I usually name everything, but I didn't think this terrifying ant deserved a name other than Ant... because he was terrifying. And I try not to name things that I try to kill. :D
