Hey all, I hope everyone else had a great weekend too. Hubby and I generally work opposite shifts, so we only see each other in passing, although one of us is usually with our girls. This weekend we each took a day off and went to amusement parks with the kids. On Sunday, we took our oldest, to Hershey Park. Had a great day riding all the roller coasters and other rides. My daughter's high point? Apparently the Naked Brother's band was playing at Hershey that day. While standing in line (we were the next to load) for a roller coaster called Fahrenheit, the park loaded "exit" riders instead of us. Exit riders are usually handicapped or wheelchairs etc that can't make it up and down the steps, so they get on at the exit. Anyway, there were 2 rows left that happened to be our rows after the "exit" riders loaded, so we got on. At that point, my daughter realized we were riding the coaster with The Naked Brothers band and she about died. She kept asking me (apparently I was sitting behind Nat?) if I got a picture, hmmm, sure while I was completely vertical heading down a hill towards a corkscrew at 60 some miles per hour, I managed to wrangle my purse out from under the restraints and take a picture, just for you. LOL, needless to say the lack of pic did disappoint her a tad, but she was still pretty excited at getting to ride the coaster with them! Ahhh, to be a kid again....lol
Today we took the younger girls to Dutch Wonderland; an amusement park just for little ones. They had a blast. All the rides were geared towards small kids, so they could ride nearly everything. They both got to drive a car (on a track), which they thought was great and ride a kiddie sized roller coaster, that according to them went soooooo fasssst! We watched the frog princess diving show, played in the waterpark (the giant bucket of water dumping on Gwen's head was priceless), and got our faces painted. All in all, I wish I had more time with my whole family together. We had so much fun.
